Coming to Wilton/Bridgeport area mid May for business. Flying into Bradley International Airport and renting a car to drive to down. I will be staying overnight and wanted to know if there are any cool liquor stores I should go to or even close breweries. Would love to get some stuff I can't get in the Chicago area. Any help is appreciated!

If you can get to new haven(Woodbridge to be exact) then New England brewing co is the obvious answer I'm sure everyone will give you. Best brewery in the state an it's not even close. Also the store amity wine and liquor is right around the corner

Wilton and Bridgeport are not right on top of each other. Where will you have more time?

And demographically about as far apart as you can get in the US.

bridgeport area has Two Roads brewing (stratford exit 32/31 off of I-95). Fairfield has harry's discount liquor and Mo's.

I would recommend hitting up nebco on the way down.

So not sure if I will be able to stop at any breweries but from the airport to Norwalk (my hotel), what good bottle shops should I stop by? I would like to see about getting some stuff I can't normally get in the Chicago area. I am assuming you can't get Heady here but let me know if I am wrong. I would like to put together a list of a few good shops from the airport to Norwalk so I can just hit them on the way. Also any brews I HAVE to pick up since I am here? Appreciate all your help!

Can't get Heady here, correct. What day/time will you be making the looong drive from BDL to Norwalk? That will help us give you suggestions.

hit up 99 Bottles, there is one in westport and one in norwalk, he's always got a few interesting bottles that you won't find other places, in addition to the good stuff thats normally available in CT.

99 bottles in norwalk has a good selection of beers. If the timing is right they will have some Ghandi bot if not get some sea hag. It's always fresh. These are the best beers regularly brewed in CT.. IMO...They also have a variety of sours ,stouts , etc

Amity wine and Liquors and 99 Bottles would be your best store options.

NEBCo, Two Roads, Relic, and Willimantic are your best brewery options.

Head north from Bradley to Table & Vine in Springfield! It's not that far north, and the selection is awesome. Coastal in Branford has a pretty good selection, as does the crushed grape in milford. If you want to fly back with growlers hit up Nebco, if not don't expect to get any bottles or cans there.

You can probably setup an IP trade for some heady while you're here too

Worlwide in Southington is my favorite bottle shop.
NEBCO is by far the best brewery in CT and Treehouse in Mass is right over the CT line. i would hit up all three if I were you...

At least nebco will be open that day. I say grab whatever they have since all their beers are great! I'm pretty sure they are open at 3 so take that into play as well.
