How does the Mocha Abduction taste compared to Southern Tier's Mokah

I'm glad someone else covered and am glad to see that I'm not crazy with the inclusion of the Amarillo hops in Sculpin. The hops, along with a faint pepper taste of the Amarillo Ninja, just really reminds me of Sculpin.

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on some Citra, but I'm also going to be snatching up Amarillo while I can.

A lot of the oils and hop matter get trapped in the spent grain so they don't all end up getting boiled like FWH. I've mostly read and heard mash hopping is pointless and is generally a waste of hops. I'd venture to guess that with the amount of hops you guys are using anyways, mash or FWH aren't going to do a darn thing extra.

@Pipeworks Can you comment on the rumors I've heard of unintentional almond extract in Mocha Abduction? I had a Binny's customer service guy say that there was an accident and that got into one of the batches. I don't even know if this constitutes a bad thing, but I wanted to see if these people are misinformed or not.

I got to taste Mocha Abduction on Friday at Grand and Western Liquors and it was great. Just trying to find out of these are unsubstantiated rumors, and if they are not, are only some of the bottles affected? Should I expect any differences from the great one I had last week?

That new batch of Barrel aged jones dog was excellent. My favorite beer you guys have ever made.

Just for clarification purposes were the barrels you used on batch 209 the 27-30 year old heaven hill barrels? If so please acquire more and please use as much as possible. Loved the bourbon notes it added to the jones dog.

27 yrs? I'm guessing these are barrels that were used for Parker's Heritage.

Citra & Mocha in stock over at Famous liquors in Lombard. It took some restraint to not pop one of the cold citra bottles in the lot.
