DFW Beer Advocate Map (For Tastings, Etc)

GD, I haven't looked at he map since the very beginning, it blowed up!

 

I propose day before July 4 share, at least right now I'm not planning on going outta town.

Sunday June 15th is my suggestion, and I understand my suggestion has no bearing on what date Kevin has available, just throwing out a date and hoping the stars align!

 

Well every time I try to commit to a tasting I have to cancel.

So I'm saying I'm going to try and be there. I have the beer...just need the free time. But I'd love to meet some fellow DFW BAs!

 

I've actually met Noah when he started as a bartender there at FS. Very cool dude. Actually he was the last person I talked to about the last tasting you guys had. Never heard back from him. I'll make sure to talk to him next time I'm up there.

 

Well I def know of one bottle share that took place at a home, But I do feel as though if we keep it awesome and consistent it'll build momentum and they'll become more frequent. Therefore, my $.02 is that mid June is to late- unless we want to start a trend to have it the last month of each quarter. All I know is I've been fortunate to meet some awesome DFW BA's, but feel neglected that there are still a ton of others I haven't had a beer with... And these brews at my crib are burning a hole in my cellar [closet]! So I say let's drink!

 

What is the policy on bringing full growlers that were filled out of state to a share at C&G? For example if I were to receive 2 full Tired Hands growlers, could I bring them to the share, everyone enjoys, then maybe even immediately refill them at C&G?

I tried to get my 2 HF 750ml filled and they wanted to charge me the 2L price each. I did not get them filled after that.

 

I'd be concerned if he didn't.

 

I tried to get a 750ml filled last week, and Kevin himself told me that they would charge the 32oz price...said they don't have a 750ml price in their system. Been told the same by one of the other guys. Guess you just have to find the right person working.

 

Might have not have been the 2L charge, but hey wanted to charge me double, I do know that.

 

You can definitely bring an out of state growler to C&G for a tasting- at the last one I brought HF Double Galaxy. I have since brought several 750ml to C&G and they charge me the 32oz price, which I think is fair.
