I couldn't agree more. I think what I'm anticipating...and have enjoyed...so much with this BIF is the sharing of our local treasures. If the World Beer Cup awards showed me anything, its that many of the best beers are from places and breweries I've never even heard of. Also, I like to think that this gives each of us a chance to plan where to go should we find ourselves in our shipper's state for any reason --- I know if BigGene is coming to LA, first stop will be El Segundo Brewing (but that's maybe only because its RIGHT next to the airport!!!)

 

My box is heading to out tomorrow to a city that by govenments test, its cliamate is the best.
It should hit by Thursday.

 

This is definitely me then. The juice comment, reference to steroids? Or am I missing out on some awesome juice scene here?

 

Boxes just went out today... I hope my first BIF wasn't a complete failure! Guess we'll have to wait and sea.

Putting the box together was fun but not super easy. Glad I can wash my hands of it til the next round!

My packages have landed, though the glassware is still in route. My target is a teacher, so hopefully he gets home soon and finds everything in one piece.

FYI update on my Box and my growler fill adventure.

Still trying to find a freaking growler fill. The only place in Orlando that LEGALLY can do one is out of GLASS, Cmon man. Doing some traveling this weekend to get it done. Box WILL go out Tuesday.

 

Just to preface this has been a hell of a week. So 40lbs of beer was supposed to land at my targets today, but unfortunately FedEx damaged one of the boxes an hour form it's destination and now only a part of the haul has been delivered. To my target I sincerely apologize and will be getting another box out next week ( most likely Tuesday). Please do post or convo me what you did receive so I know what to replace. Also, as I feel terrible about this (first time it's happened to me), go to the charleston beer exchange website and look at their inventory and pick a bottle you want, as I will be there Friday and will include it in the next box. Sorry again, and I hope this doesn't prevent me from future participation because I have had a blast.

 

Well it wasn't the growler...For what its worth as mizzouguy said shit happens. I am sure that al will be taken care of. I have sent you BM Shilt so we can discuss via BM.

Thus far what I got in this box I am quite impressed. Will post some pics once I have more time later this evening. Growler is in the fridge and ready to be drank I had quite the day so I could use a drink.
