Bruery 2014 RS/HS Allocations

yeah, just saw that. Bummer. Is this even worth setting up a trade for? I'm not expecting it to be all that great, just like the idea of sharing a bottle with my wife on our 'cotton' anniversary. Have had a few folks contact me re a trade, all of which are in CA and probably have access to similar beers. Not wanting to trade anything crazy for it. Has anyone had it recently?

 

Had it not that long ago....still pretty tasty. But 100% BA Coton is still tasting phenomenal

 

IMO 25% BA cotton is a very different beer than the 100% BA version, and I do not like the taste. I had a bottle a year ago that had been refrigerated since purchase. If you are expecting something that taste like the 100% BA anni ales that have been coming out for the last few years, you will be disappointed.

 

yea i havent had the 25% ba version in a while but i had a 100% ba coton about three weeks ago and it tasted outstanding

I find this interesting. They offered a 'max' # for HS purchase during the re-allocation, and then ran out?

 

It's possible they just need to update their inventory count in the store.

At least that's what I'll tell myself, because I was hoping to buy more next week.

 

The second chance sales are not guaranteed allocations, they state that you should act quickly if you are interested.

 

Mischmishmish is on sale again! 1 bottle limit though (RS and 3 I think for HS)

Anyone try Soroboruo yet?

 

Does anyone know if there are any plans to release the barrel aged Ms. Stoutfires (particularly the coconut rum version)? That's something I would max out on. I find that I really enjoy the coconut-infused releases (Humulus Palm, Melange 9, etc.), although the blue/green mai tai beer from the Sucre event this weekend (was that Monkish?) was a little too much (reminded me of sun tan lotion).

 

No plans for this currently. We only barrel aged one bourbon barrel and one rum barrel of Mrs Stoutfire, all of both treatments went into kegs.

 

@mattolesh any news on those extra HS/RS glasses going on sale?
