So glad to see the date stamp so clear on my recent purchase of a Hoponious sixer. But it seems you stopped putting dates on the outside of the cases since you moved to new packaging. Sometimes I'll purchase a case and this was always a safeguard. I guess just file this under "You can't please all the people all the time"

Can I ask why the decision to put a session beer in $3 (probably $4) singles? That seems counterintuitive to the idea of a session beer.

Seconded. I guess people have to get their tick in...

Because getting six-packs in for a release this small is prohibitively expensive.

All boxes should still be dated on the outside. Have you seen cases missing this multiple times or was it an isolated incident?

The date can be tricky to read since it is printing over some black, but should still be there.

Is this new session rye beer replacing Private Rye? The latter was one of my favorites of yours. Underrated IMO.

We do not know when we will make Private Rye again, there are no current plans. We really like the beer so it will likely be back again at some point in the future as a specialty release.

There were no plans but I just brought it up with Jack and he thinks there is a chance to work it in over the summer, possibly reworked as a batch of Hopstitution. No promises, but we will see if we can work it in.

I believe it was a batch of Hoponious dated 04/22/14 on the bottle. I'll double check my case since I can see from your photo how I might have missed it. Thanks.

I really hope I can get up there friday and get some of that smores, since that's my only day to get up there. And I will definitely be there to pick up PB&J again!

How was the S'mores and Dagger? Anyone get there today? Hoping it's still available on Friday.

I got there tonight at 6:40. The first S'mores & Dagger keg kicked when I was getting my growlers filled and luckily they had a back up. I didn't ask how long they'd think it would last. I haven't cracked a growler open yet - will likely do that Friday night.

If I'm not mistaken, I feel like the fastest a Framinghammer variant kicked was on a Friday after a Wednesday release (PB&J). I feel like the others lasted until Saturday.

Had half of my 32 oz growler yesterday - good stuff. I can't say there are strong flavors of graham cracker, fluff or cocoa. Probably should have grabbed a bottle of Smoke & Dagger to have side-by-side.

I stopped in today around 4:30. Had small tastes of the Smores and Rye Session. I didn't get much in the way of new flavors on the Smores compared to regular S&D. Some additional sweetness but that was about it for me. The Rye Session had a really nice flavor. Rye was well combined with the rest of the beer and didn't overpower. A lot going on in this one for just 3.8%.

Tried half pints of Calyptra and Coffee S&D as well. I thought Calyptra was good. Citra is one of my favorite hops so any beer where that's a major player figures to fall in my wheelhouse. There was some grainy and spicy component to it as well. I never tried the first two but for a beer that's something of a one off experiment each time I think this came out well. Coffee S&D was really good. Very much like a coffee porter (one of my favorite styles) but the additional depth of smoke from the base beer really rounded it out. Great aroma on this one. I brought home some of each of these two for sharing with a friend.

This was my first time at the brewery and everyone working there was very friendly. I had a nice chat with one employee who was hanging out and sampling. It was cool to check out all of their festival awards and big wall mural. Overall a great experience and one I hope to repeat soon.

Popped in again today to try the Cherry Berliner Braun. I liked it. Not my usual style of beer but I found the flavor and feel appealing. Also tried the Leisure Time which had a nice taste and soft character to it.

Picked up a few bottles along with my first snifter. Looking forward to the Framingham Lager next month.
