Check their Facebook to see what they're pouring; it changes weekly, if not daily. As sandman3479 said, the odds of IST (annual winter release) or FBD (occasional release that sells out instantly, and came out just a few weeks ago and therefore isn't expected for a couple more months) are slim to none. Gandhi-Bot is about 50/50 these days.

Don't let that dissuade you from going, though! We've all been recommending it because it's amazing all the time. Go, chat with the folks there, drink free samples of everything they have, and enjoy the best beer CT has to offer!

    Cheers!

Thanks everyone, I think I am going to head to Amity Wine then NEBCO and finally 99 bottles which is then near my hotel in Norwalk. I tried calling NEBCO to get their hours but nobody answers. Any suggestions there? I could not find their hours on the website.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Total Wine. They also have a very large selection and they sell all their beer at bottom prices. It's right next to Rte 7 and the Merritt Pkwy (CT 15) in Norwalk.

Since you're staying in Norwalk, a good place to get beer/food if you have the chance is The Ginger Man. According to their latest beer menu, they have two of NEBCO's rare-ish beer in bottles, Wet Willy and Friar's Quad. Both great, both unusual, many ppl in CT seek them out, haven't been bottled in awhile. Enjoy your visit!

If this is the place that used to be "Total Wines" and in the Shop Rite plaza, they will price gauge you every chance they get. $10 BCBCS singles anyone?

their prices aren't crazy...i go there all the time and everything i get is reasonably priced, if i go to any smaller package stores, everything is more expensive than at wine and spirits co almost every time.

If you are taking I-84 south from Hartford then definitely get off at Exit 32, on RT 10 (Queen St) South. Practically right across from the exit is Worldwide, which has an excellent selection of beers. Then go south on Rt 10 about a quarter of a mile, and on the left is a WalMart shopping center with Southington Wines & Spirits, another store with a huge beer selection, with several small local brews available - give Relic a try, still UTR outside of CT. The beauty of these places are that they are right off the Interstate, and in a part of the state that is less expensive. Once you get to Fairfield County (Wilton) you can expect to pay more.

From Southington continue south on I-84 about 5 miles to I-691 which will take you to I-91 south towards New Haven & NEBCO. They use to be in Woodbridge but moved recently, I believe; I am not sure where, but I think it is still in the same area.

Try getting anything limited. They jack the prices up quite a bit. Wouldn't make sense to jack the prices on shelf beers.

Where am I most likely to find nebco bottles/cans/bombers in the West Hartford area?

They are currently only canning beers if I'm not mistaken and the only cans currently available are Gandhi Bot, Sea Hag, Elm City Pils, and 668.

Gandhi is still pretty difficult to find but seems to be popping up more frequently than it has in the past. Possibly due to the brewery expansion. Sea Hag is seemingly available everywhere and it's definitely worth a try. It should be found at most of the larger places in that area.

What's the place in New Britain? Liquor Depot? Worldwide in Southington. There's another place over by Westfarms that I'm sure would have it but I can't remember the name.

As great as NEBCO is, Elm City and 668 aren't really anything that I'd recommend, but I'm not a big fan of those styles.

Woodbridge is a bit of a drive from West Heartbeat but if you've never been to NEBCO, it is TOTALLY worth the trip to get a few growlers filled with some of their more rare brews.
