They make all the cheap french stubbies don't they? Every supermarket seems to have their own version of it

Glorious couple of days, ended up going for Tiny Rebel's new Lemon and Lime Berliner Weisse to combat the heat. Very nice stuff, not very sour so really easy drinking. Also a pint of Loki Black IPA, tasty, refreshing and a cool pump clip to boot.

Off to the Pint Shop in Cambridge Saturday for Lunch. Should be good! They're always cycling what they have on tap.

Hoping the Camden Ink, Rouge IPA and Adnams Mosaic are still on when I'm there!

The Hop in York has an ale board similar to this - very usefull for seeing what they've got in a glance....

I'm currently drinking St. Austell's Tribute; not too shabby.

Also, I was in Tesco earlier and noticed 'Old Hoppy Hen' on the shelves. Hops have finally jumped the shark.....

Pubs like this are awesome! If they do good scotch eggs too it's a bonus!

St. Austell's Tribute is a pretty good beer in my mind! Really? I thought I saw that in passing the other day but now you've confirmed it  Mind you, curious to try!

Currently enjoying a Siren Soundwave IPA after a pint of Grain Porter and Redwell Urban IPA at the pint shop. Turns out there was a craft alcohol/food festival next door so grabbed a Soundwave IPA, Brew by Numbers golden ale and a Siren red mystress. Wanted to try siren for a while!

Time to rehydrate with Tiny Rebel's Full Nelson.

'Lemon and Lime' doen't sound much like a Berliner Weisse to me.

Does if you take lemon and lime, and add it to a Berliner Weisse. It was nice, it cancelled out some of the sourness so it was more palatable for the Cardiff crowd.

Finished the week off with a pint from a freshly tapped cask of Adnams Broadside. Nice!

Oakham Green Devil, excellent as always. Adnams/Societe The Publican above average but didn't quite work

Hot and thirsty after mowing my son's lawns so slipped into one of my local pubs. Began with Lincoln Green "Archer" which they describe as an "American IPA" at 4%. Getting a little bored with American influenced beers I tried it and was amazed at how good it was.Everything fitted together well and it was a lovely pint.Lincoln Green is one of those breweries which came from nowhere yet produced well brewed well structured and polished beers from the word go.
I moved on to Thornbridge Jaipur and to be quite honest wish I'd stuck to the Archer. Excellent though Jaipur is , the slight extra sweetness and body (it's half as strong again as the Archer) didn't improve the experience; that's what happens when you enter a pub with preconceptions.

after more heavy duty gardening it was off to Leeds, first stop Tapped Leeds for a Camden Hells then on to North Bar for Jever Pilsner, Sierra Nevada Torpedo, Jever Pilsner, Kirkstall Boak & Bailey Revitalisation, and another Jever Pilsner. Boak & Bailey were there to launch their book Brew Britannia, nice people.

Spent a few days in North Wales. Tried to sample some local beers, but some outsiders crept in there as well. I had:

Heavy Industry Electric Mountain - Golden ale. Nice stuff, pretty hoppy.
Moorehouse's Blond Witch - Golden ale. OK, but a little bland, I thought.
Courage Directors - Bitter. OK, started out a bit bland but grew on me as I got further down the glass.
Conwy Brewery Welsh Pride - Bitter. Very nice and well balanced, would definitely drink this again.
Caledonian Flying Scotsman - Bitter. Didn't expect much from this but it was actually really delicious and quite complex.
Facer's Clwyd Gold - Bitter. Quite light and dry with a nice malt character. A good session beer.
