i think sorachi ace hops would work well with coffee considering the spice notes you get from coffee. Just the coconut/herb/lemon oddballness reminds me of some coffees.

Wow Mocha Break Abduction was absolutely killer. Easily my favorite Abduction so far. I got a lot of chocolate cake flavors in this thing.

I definitely prefer it over Coffee break abduction, and that's saying a lot. Now, if they'd just put that mo fo in bourbon barrels...

so did that BA toasty nut ever make an appearance, or was that just a tease? I mean, don't get me wrong, the experimental stout was fantastic, but if there was one beer on the initial list that I had to try, the BA toasty nut would have been it.

The experimental was BA Toasty Nut I think. I know mine had a very strong coconut taste.

Interesting. I didn't pick up on that at all. I was about to circle back to the experimental (it was the first I tried), but it ran out before I could get another. Oh well. Great time on Saturday either way.

Apparently the Just Drink It Dummy at the Emporium event was the base to Attack of the Devil's Lettuce. I got huge coconut notes from that. I never got those flavors from Something Hoppy This Way Comeswhich also uses Sorachi Ace. Very cool that this flavor came out since I only associated the hop with lemon.

The NvU I had last night might have been the best yet. Or maybe it was that I just REALLY needed a good beer
