Ballast Point Indra Kunindra is just really unique; an Indian meal in liquid form. I would also say He'Brew RIPA on Rye is really interesting and has a ton going on.

Of course, DFH was ahead of the curve when it introduced Theobroma. While not a stout, I have to believe that it influenced all of these beers that followed.

Well, they say if you can't say something nice... So, "unique" is a perfect word for this series.

As for me? I'd have to go with the recent CCB/Max Lager collaboration Black Ash Lager. I've never had a beer that tasted of blue cheese and dill. Mercifully, it was well done and the hops kept the beer grounded.

Two actually: 1 pretty good and 1 very bad

Bad: Defiant Orange Cream Ale-Just like it sounds. Tastes like a liquified creamsicle with carbonation.

Good: Beer Deviner Ancient Gruit-anything with wormwood, grains of paradise, and yarrow would fit the category of "unique". Wormwood is a unique bittering agent that pairs well with the herbal aromatics of the yarrow.

Mango Magnifico-pretty intense, but the peppers were overkill. I honestly couldn't pawn it off to anybody in the house.

Green Flashes Rayon Vert-had it's ups and downs, but in the end wasn't for me.

    Kbs- loved the whiskey feel.

I would have to say that any of the dogfish head ancient ales belong on here, as well as a chocolate-orange porter that Saranac brewed recently.

Agreed! We did a blind tasting with it and Beer Geek Breakfast, and Weasel crushed it.

GUBNA! Like drinking simple syrup but has the craziest unique mellowed out hop notes like no other ipa and then a 10% abv that hits ya pretty good. Oskar Blues is world class and GUBNA is not necessarily the best beer but its like nothing else

Lost Nation Gose, it was awesome and I have not had anything else that really reminded me of it since.

A Berliner weisse made by a draught only brewer called Doctors Orders here in Australia. It's called Cephalopod and has a shit tonne of squid ink in it. It's literally blue. Weird stuff but tasty.
