Anti hero is real good. Daisy cutter is real good too, but don't know if that can be found outside of Chicagoland area.

They will have Anti-Hero and several other can varieties. Also some of Revolution's bottles but I could not find a bottle date and no knowledge of their release so I passed on those.

Do all the IL hyvees pretty much have the same selection?

Thanks! Somehow i missed this before. Im at the Radison on the Davenport side so looks like Rock Island is the closest. I'm going to map that and John Deere and see if i have enough time to get to both. If not will probably be stuck with just Rock Island. Out there for a wedding with the wife so making an extended beer run is NOT in her schedule so will take what i can get LOL

Good luck. You could always get "lost" at the reception.

I wish. We have a 3mo old and no kids at the wedding so the wifes parents are coming along to watch him. I guess they rented a bigger car since they'll have wifes brothers kid too so i'm going to have to jack the van at some point. If not problably look like a contestant on SuperMarket Sweep going crazy in the beer isle while they wait in the car. Got 5 friends to throw in $20 so going for $100 worth. Hopefully can pick up some good stuff to share and have some to take home. Any recommendations of any good stuff or seasonals/specialites out right now from any breweries available in IL and not in IA?

Rock island carries lagunitas, stone and dogfish head and has a wide selection of others as well. I usually head there when I'm looking to restock. TG only delivers to the devils glen in Bett and west Kimberly hy vee but they haven't delivered any in awhile. I actually just made a day trip up to decorah a couple weeks ago to pick up some sosus bombers. 3 hrs each way but worth it

To be honest I haven't had a chance to run over to Illinois in about 3 weeks to check to see what they've got. Sorry, man.

I mean just in general do you have any beers you get on a regular basis worth checking out? I haven't had too much from any of those places.

I checked your beer list and didn't see anything from those breweries mentioned so assume it's just not up to date?

My Cellar is up to date, I've been hitting the beer trades lately and getting beers I can't get from either state. I don't really have a "go to brand" of beer just a "go to style or styles" of beer, if that makes any sense.

Anti-Hero should be available at all Illinois Hy-Vee stores. I can't remember the last time that I noticed it not being in stock. Revolution A Little Crazy is another beer of theirs that is really good. It's a Belgian IPA. I'm not sure if you're able to get Victory beers in Iowa but Victory Dirtwolf is a must have if you're able to find it. It's been readily available on the Illinois side for sometime now.

The galaxy hopped version of Anti-Hero was still available in bombers at the Rock Island Hy-Vee last Saturday, HIGHLY recommend it if you see it.

No Victory in Iowa so i'll pick up some for sure. I've had Dirtwolf and Hop Ranch but no others. Any others from Victory that are good?

If you like pilsners, Prima Pils from Victory is one of the best US made pilsners in my book. Hop Devil is a pretty solid IPA too. Nothing mind-blowing, but solid and worth picking up if fresh.

I did. Didn't make it to El Bait Shop, but I did hit up both Exile and the High Life Lounge. Maybe next time.

El Bait Shop is attached to High Life lounge. You literally walk through the door and you're there. You can actually get beer and take it back into high life. Maybe next time

Got everything below plus a FW Sucaba for $11.99, Revolution Double IPA and Saison bomber not pictured.

They were out of AntiHero. Had Dh.60 min and no others. Didn't see ballast point or bear republic. Had 4 kinds of Alesmith - speedway stout, grand cru, IPA (bottled December) and another I can't remember. Had Fw wooky but sold out of opal. Had their standard 6 pack year round beers. The guy found a box of sucaba in the back. Wish I would have gotten more especially for $11.99 but already had a $200 haul so just got 1.

Was going to go to rock island but wine and spirits didn't open until noon on Sunday?! This is all from John Deere rd moline store.
