Excellent, excellent news. Love Kittery. A great spot for beer. When Pigs Fly as well as Portsmouth a few mins away.
    Best of luck to Tod!

This is awesome news considering how cold and depressing the winter has been up this way. The Kittery beer scene was strong in '13 and will be even better in '14. So many locals are psyched to see Tod back in action in his new digs.

I do hope, however, that the wannabe beer geeks respect the man's skills and schedule and don't show up every weekend expecting KtG 2.0 to be constantly flowing like Heady Topper.

But could you imagine if that's how it actually was?

I'm now going to drink my only bottle of 2011 KtG this weekend and dream of that Utopia.

Between Black Birch and soon Tributary on one side, and Portsmouth Brewery and Earth Eagle, I'm especially glad that they got the new Memorial Bridge opened so quickly. Come this summer, it should be a pleasant stroll/bike ride across the new bridge, between great beer spots on either side of the Piscataqua.

$100 seems like a lot of money for two tasting glasses and a tshirt. No offense, but I'd rather support the brewery by buying the beer.

I'm drinking Kate the Great right now and started looking into Tod's progress. I wish Tod all the best, but I wish he did his kickstarter in the format of J Wakefield and offer guaranteed beers for a membership. Perhaps local laws prevent him from doing this as even the higher tiers just grant vip access to release events.

Kickstarter actually has a rule against offering beer as a reward unfortunately, which is why people offer memberships or access to events instead.

Nonetheless, if this turns out to be one of the best breweries around - I bet the people who get in early on the 2-year membership will be happy with themselves.

Supposedly Tod is using the same recipe he used for KtG for the new Russian Imperial Stout.
