Event during the day and relaxed bottle share at night. Best way to roll.

Honest question - do you feel like you're really up for opening a bunch of beers after that event, especially in the heat? I don't try to pour as many tasters down my throat as I can and drink a ton of water, but after spending 4 or 5 hours in the heat and sampling a lot of high octane beers, I have zero motivation to drink anything other than a reasonably sessionable beer, both from the standpoint of not needing a ton more alcohol, as well as realizing my palate is pretty well shot. I'm not going to judge what other people do with their beers, but there's a point where you're opening bottles just for the sake of opening them.

Our bottle share on Saturday night was a lot less about opening new beers that people hadn't tried before, and a lot more about having fun with friends and drinking a ton of good beer. Friday night was the legit bottle share, the event on Saturday is the reason why we're all there (and a good time in its own right) and the share on Saturday night is a party. I can't wait.

I bet you were bummed when the Bruery announced unlimited pours at the anniversary party.

That doesn't make any sense whatsoever, considering the crux of my point wasn't maximizing your time at the event - I'm all for that - it was having the capacity to continue drinking a bunch of beers AFTER drinking for several hours in the heat.

You do understand the difference between what I said and what you're pretending I said, right?

I think there's nothing wrong with trying even more beers in a calm and chill setting while shooting the breeze with others who also appreciate beer in an yearly event.

That's like saying "How would you dare still want to take part of comic book related things at night in San Diego post walking the convention floor at comic con"

Last year I had a lot at the festival, but then I chilled at the hotel pool with many others who had gone. It wasn't an insane bottle share, but there was some nice things cracked open and enjoyed among us.

Yes, because doing comic book related things has a compounding effect on your body over the course of the day in the same way as alcohol does. (Hint: it does not) I understand the point you're going after, but that's not a good analogy.

I already said I'm not judging what other people do with their beers, I was just asking how much capacity you really have to appreciate new beers at that point in the day.

You really are trying hard to just say "You dank all afternoon, do you really want to drink all night?"

And the answer is that most of us can and would like to. If you're not one that would like to, fine.

On a side note, if the weather forecast holds true, it should only be mid-80s this year. Giggety!

During the previous two years, we had the crazy whalez share on Friday and Saturday was more relaxed and opened stuff like Apline/Societe growlers and such. I don't try to get trashed and ruin my palate at events though.

I am coming up from Carlsbad and will be at the Friday Night Adelaide bottleshare.

What beers/brewery releases are people looking to try? I have an eclectic collection.

How do these bottle shares start up? Is there a designated spot or is it just kind of all over the place? This is my first year going to the Invitational and I'm staying at Adelaide as well.

There are a few picnic tables in the middle of the complex. You will see people gathering around. You can't miss it.

It doesn't have much light and it could use more tabletop space.
