Firestone Walker Invitational bottle shares

We need some BA name tags.

 

My nametag will be H.M.F.I.C

 

I'm planning on bringing a 2012 Bo & Luke and a couple Cigar City one-offs (Forgotten Island maybe???). My friends (who have never done a bottle share) are bringing Cantillon goodies (Fou, Lou, Iris...the whole gang). We'll be the ones wearing Bruce Springsteen shirts!

 

@thebeerprophet We rented a house real close to the venue and will be doing a share on Friday night there. I'll pm the address to you as it gets closer. Hope to see you at Sante Sat.

 

Do you guys accept non-whalez holders? We are coming from Maryland, an area devoid of whalez. The waterz are just too cold. The best thing we have is a 750 of Cantillon Classic Gueuze. We will be coming from the bay area (and north to Lagunitas/RR) so we can bring growlers from there as well. Will we be shunned?

 

DuClaw? But Growlers always work also!

 

Unfortunately, DuClaw will do nothing but disappoint you. All of their beers promise more than they deliver. I am still hoping I can get into DC Brau and grab a boatload of OTWOA. (they closed for a big expansion project)

 

If someone has an extra ticket let me know (take care of Russ, Huadog first).

 

Hmm I've had a few DuClaw beers I loved. But OTWOA is an even better option.

 

I don't mean to crush them. Retribution and Hell On Wood were pretty good. Sweet Baby Jesus was interesting as well.

I hope I can get some OTWOA. They shut down for expansion but they do accept the occasional straggler customer.

 

I am going to cancel a reservation at the Adeladie sometime today - don't know if I can transfer it or not. BM me if you are looking for a room and we can try to coordinate.

 

If you wear an Orioles hat and bring a Troegs with you, I think people will let it slide.

 

I guess I will take a bit of the Cantillon...sigh.

 

Recommendations for hotels in SLO? Paso is SOLD OUT and I can't find anyone cancelling their reservations unfortunately.
We were hoping to join in for a bottle share the night before to start the festivities and meet some new (and old) faces.
If no shares in SLO the night before, recommendations for night of?

You're more than welcome to come to Cambria Friday night and drink some bottles with us Mike. My fiance and I will be chillin at the beach house on Happy Hill in Cambria. A couple other people may be joining us (my best man for my wedding and some customers from BC's that I recently met).

 

Less than 1 week till the event I wonder if we will see a tap list before we get inside????
It is odd that they don't release the tap list what is the big secret?

 

They are going to start releasing it via Twitter tomorrow as far as I can remember.
