Heading to Toppling Goliath this weekend

Damn shame NT is gone....I really loved it last year. I've had a trip up to the brewery planned for tomorrow for quite a while, and I am still looking forward to the trip. Hope to see some of you there and enjoy a beer together.

 

When I went down there to get a growler of King Sue, I was told it was out, no prob. People were buying many, that is their deal, it is also their deal with buying 4 cases of the beer that was released yesterday. One of the only ways they can stop this is that they deliver ALL of it to stores and release it at the same time. More people get it, more people are happy.

Does it suck that it is all gone, or almost all gone, sure. But the goal is to sell beer. That they did. If you are mad, be mad at the people who spend close to $1,000 on beer...crazy. It can be hard to police who gets to buy beer. If I bring my wife and the two people I know who live there and they have a 6 bottle limit, I get the same amount. If it was not for traders, this would not happen. You should have seen the stacks of Sue at Casanovas today. I am sure it will last a few days.

There are lots of great beers out there and TG has some of the best. This looks to be the reason that they are releasing Assassin the way they are.

Kudos to TG for brewing great beers. I just wish more could do this and have the same kind of hype. It is fun to see

 

Whatever they decide to do, I hope it guarantees that I get exactly what I want, because I'm the only one that matters.

Demand for TG is obviously extremely high. Just another reason I thank the beer gods for New Glarus, as I stare at my case of berliner weisse!

Come on guys! Come to toppling goliath… drive three hours and bring great bottles to share with anyone and everyone! The bottles you may seek aren't there because I gave them out 24 at a time! But don't let that worry you because you are in the holiest brewery in the midwest!!!! If you can't drive 3 hours and have a beer with Josh just because they ran out of bottles you don't enjoy life!

A certain someone said he has been harvesting Cantillon yeast and experimenting with sours. Hmm....

Also, this happened Friday afternoon. Good times!

 

Bottom line period!… Toppling Goliath screwed the pooch! Put your spin on it however you want… When it smells like pooh tastes like pooh and looks like pooh guess what IT'S POOH!!!

 

We're on the edges of our seats waiting to see how SurlyUtopia does it right.

Hahahaha. I don't think I know you but it sounds like you've got hurt feelings. Im sorry if I tapped your sac. I'm just trying to convey that its still worth the trip to tg for their regular lineup and to share bottles with other folks. As of late it seems like people value limited beer more than they value drinking the beer with other people that enjoy beer to.

I'm here now so if you wanna drink some beers I'll buy you one.

Just FYI for those in Decorah and out of luck on the David-front. We still have bottles available for to-go sales at the Cellar in downtown Decorah.... Bottles or not, it's a amazing day for patio drinking in Decorah. Cheers!
