x2 even though I already saw the pic in the "latest haul" thread. I did get to drink a glass though and managed to score one bottle by sheer luck and generosity though so it is what it is.

I don't even know where to begin here...so, I'll just leave it at this...

As far as I can remember, everyone that was 'in line' before it completely dissipated, received up to a 6-bottle allocation (after the 'hiding cases' incident...apologies on that one). There were a few people that arrived later in the day and did miss out; however, full details were provided as to what local shops might be able to help them secure bottles in distribution. As Mike mentioned, very few (if any) releases are going to be handled 100% perfectly and I would only expect it to become more difficult as this industry's interest continues to grow.

People who want it to soften and are too barbaric to have a butter bell.

'Hidden cases' seems suspicious. Sounds like @rbradley was trying to add to his personal stash and got busted!

Not important; it was a nice shop and the employees seemed like nice dudes. It is just frustrating sometimes for the folks who do travel and may not have the relationship with shops/breweries.

I was at the BA cake release last year, as well as the brewery yesterday, and the turnout yesterday seemed to be almost as much as last year's BA release. my guess is the turnout at this year's BA release will be ridiculous, and I bet if you aren't there the night before, you will probably leave unhappy.

A no warning style of release is starting to look pretty tempting.

I thought last year's release was perfect, a gold standard for releases even. If it's not broken, don't fix it.

not to sound like a lil' bitch, but a bit of constructive criticism for Westbrook, hope they read this and take into consideration, but I thought the checkout process at the BA release was horribly inefficient. people showed up prior to release time and were given a numbered ticket. westbrook had a list and wrote down people's names and which number ticket they had. well when it came time to hand out bottles, instead of calling out numbers, they insisted on reading off people's names. well they consistently mispronounced people's names and had to call out names repeatedly, with a long pause between each time. they never called numbers so it was impossible for people to anticipate when they would be called as a result. it took several hours to hand out bottles to about 200 people b/c there was a lot of standing around and waiting for people to realize their name had been called. may sound like a lame complaint, but from someone who was there, it really kinda sucked.

I was personally handing out bottles. I am glad it was taking that long to get through the names. It gave me a second to rest. Honestly, it was rbradley calling out names. You will have to forgive his inability to pronounce names. He works with numbers for a living.

not trying to offend anyone, just saying, the line yesterday moved much faster than the BA release, which was nice. at the BA release I was #125 and waited for about 2 hours to pick up 6 bottles, and had to leave immediately after to get back home, and missed out on the special brews that were on tap. yesterday, I probably waited in line for 30 minutes to get 6 bottles (had to be atleast 100 people in front of me) and then had plenty of time to drink at the bar. had a few pours, and loved the gose gone wild, and bought 2 growlers to take home. so in essence, a loyal customer was happier, and Westbrook made a few more $'s. take it fwiw if u care, if not then that's cool.

As a person with a crazy last name, I wasn't offended. Most people just give up and call me Mr. A.
