With all the new breweries and beers showing up what is your favourite new brew that you are going to be drinking this summer? I am loving Persephone DIPA, Central city ISA and Bowen Island Mutiny red ale .

I guess it's not very new, but I think my go-to summer beer will be DDC Moralité. I also had a small sample of Muskoka Detour (their new session IPA) and would love to try some more.

One other beer high on my list right now but not Canadian is Kozel a Czech pils in a tall can. Lots of government stores have it on special for $2 a can. My fave pils even better than Wernesgruner.

I had the Bavarian Breakfast Wheat at Silversmith last week-end and quite enjoyed it. I had another bottle last night. I can see drinking a lot of this over the summer.

Just saw on twitter that DDC will be bottling their Disco Soleil - IPA w/ Kumquats. I dont know when or any details. Anyone know anything?

Great Lakes Limp Puppet. A "session IPA" that comes in at 3.2%ABV and just packed full of flavour! Perfect summer beer.

Yeah it should be at stores in Quebec now or this week. We got some kegs of it Alberta and it is very summery and surprisingly like for the ABV.

If Beyond the Pale make their saison a regular option that may be my go to beer...easy to drink, fresh, and tasty (and being only 4.8% means I can go through a growler in a weekend with little side affect).

Muskoka Detour is hitting shelves in NB this week, I had thought this might be a "go to" this year but at $16.99 a sixer I might have second thoughts.

It was at the Brewers Market this past weekend...think it will be sold in the next 2-3 weeks out of the brewery.

It is $3.98 for a 473ml can at the NLC here in Newfoundland. We are getting royally screwed. Very nice beer though.

Yeah, I guess we're paying about the same by volume, would be nice to be able to buy just 1-2 to try, though.

I got hooked on Collective Arts Brewing's Rhyme and Reason EPA. It's refreshing, crisp and flavourfull. The beer is dry hopped adding an decent yet not in your face bold taste.

I tried it this past weekend. A nice quencher, similar to CAB, Rhyme and Reason (See my note in this thread) yet the dry hopping in R&R is more pronounced. Compare both if you can.

Holy sh*t, it is $13.65 here, had it once, and wouldn't go for it again. But for $16.99, that is nuts.

That is absolutely insane. $16.99!? Its $13.65 in Ontario and even then i wouldn't fork it over for A sixer of Detour. Money better spent elsewhere. I remember when cans of Muskoka Lager were $26.50 a 24. Now 24 bottles is over $44 for the exact same beer. Sickening really.
