Good morning BAs! Welcome to Tuesday and day two of German Beer for Breakfast for me. Today's flavor is this guy:

A little malt and a little yeast, slightly sweet - OK but not great. Tried to rate this but not sure how to since BA doesn't seem to have it - I know it's not new since it's been in my database since 2007. Suggestions?

Thanks, but I don't think so - no hefe. Mine's bottle conditioned and has a nice yeast sediment layer.

I'm not sure what I'm missing...? The beer I linked to is the Hefe-Weizen Dunkel, which is what you have in your picture. That would also certainly have yeast (Hefe). The only difference appears to be that one label is in English and the other is German. I won't clutter up the thread, though, good luck with your search if that's not the one you're looking for!

It is in fact the same beer. The only difference is German and English languages.

Had a growler of Columbus Bodhi DIPA over the weekend. Looks like Pliny, tastes like Heady. An absolute winner for the folks in Ohio.

Finally drinking this after months of being intrigued by it and finally seeing it at my beer store. I had no idea Matt was from Michigan and worked at Liberty Street Brewing Company, where I've been, and my sister frequents (lives in the area).

Thanks a lot for this unique and tasty beer.

    Cheers BeerAdvocate, and Matt Courtright.

One of the better beers to come out of Ohio. Absolutely delicious. The closest we get to Heady here!

Afternoon, BAs! I'm stuck at home waiting on an appointment, so I figured I'd take the opportunity to fire up the grill and make lunch.

Veggie burgers for the wife (in foil so they don't fall apart). Real burgers and bacon for me.

Washing it down with this highly quaffable elixir: Sierra Nevada Ovila Saison.

    Cheers!

I swear Fort Collins never gets bottles of the Ommegang seasonals aside from Adoration, which happens to be the one seasonal of theirs I am not a fan of. I am sure this will be no different, which blows.

Looks like I will have to drive down to Denver to grab a 4 pack....and not sure that is worth the effort. Any trip to Denver is more likely going to be geared towards a brewery visit for them to take my money, not a beer store.
