You are sick of non locals being mad they missed out. Sure, I get that- but to infer that locals should get the extra love and have the right to the beer before anyone else.. That certainly isn't the case.

Why would you be mad at Westbrook. Be mad at all the people who actually want it plus all the mules, they are the ones who bought it all up in 2 hours. Westbrook had a set amount. There were just too many of you guys. It's no their fault too many people want their beer.

 

I'll admit that i'm a little bummed that I probably won't be able to pick any MC up during my next trip to Columbia, but some of the attitudes being expressed on this thread are a little depressing.

 

Any idea when this is hitting NYC?

 

Quick question: Would people have been more happy if Westbrook didn't brew Mexican Cake at all? It's their beer, and it's theirs to do with as they please. Right?

I've refrained from getting involved in these conversations, but I just don't get the anger being directed toward Westbrook.

 

SInce this is about a Westbrook beer, it's only fitting that I say "I'm surrounded by assholes. Keep firing assholes."

Thanks to the epicness of this thread, my wife is considering writing on the effect of social media in the craft beer industry, for her doctorate. At least something good will come out of this madness.

 

I'm currently penning a 45 page manifesto on how horribly all the breweries have treated me when I deserve all the beer. THEY OWE ME THE BEER.

 

Between this one and the Hunapuh thread, there is more than enough material to help her out. Heck, I enjoy reading these when I settle down with my evening beer(s)!

 

Lots of things disgust me. A brewery selling out of beer is not one of them.

Also, if I were driving 4 hours to be a beer release I would probably make sure I was there on time.

 

To be fair, the huna thread was way more entertaining than this one..... I mean it had a near riot as a payoff.

 

I was at TW (Charleston) about an hour ago and asked how fast they sold out of MC yesterday. The one manager said that they still had some bottles behind the counter, $10.99 each. I already had some at home, but I couldn't pass up on buying just one more. I couldn't believe that 1). they still had some and 2). it was cheaper than at the brewery. Go figure!

 

It was cheaper here in Columbia too

 

Same price as last year.

 

Guess its a shelf turd now. No need to come to the BA Cake release anymore bros.

 

Has anyone seen this in Georgia yet?
