Firestone Walker Invitational bottle shares

When I stopped by the Brewery Store last week they mentioned that they would be selling "Boxed Sets" of their Anniversary vintages this weekend. 4 bottles for $190.00 and I believe it was 13 thru 16. Heads UP!

 

I'll have a bottle of 'Dinner' to follow up that lovely 'Lunch'. See you there!

Semi-back on topic, I'll be at the Adelaide, bringing a Florence, Zhukov, PnB, a variety of 12 oz midwest BA stouts, and a few other things.

 

What time does this shindig start? And how many bottles should one typically bring? I didn't make it last year

 

Good question...I have 12 in tow. Depending on my mood both nights and if my trade falls through
Dark Lord 13, Serenity, Bible Belt, MZ 13 holding for trades
Gratitude, Sexual Chocolate, Brooklyn Black Ops, Wild One, Ghost in the Machine (May be old), Space Ghost, Lindley Park, and Bo & Luke 14 looking to drink

First one here so was not sure what to expect. Rather over pack than under

 

What time does the share at Adelaide usually start and last to? I over packed too.

 

I might come through. It'll be my first time so hopefully the stuff I have is good enough.

I packed up a Peche n Brett, 50/50 B.A.R.T, Backyard Rye, Blackberry Albert, Old Stock Ale Cellar's Reserve, and a Bon-Chien BFM

 

I'm staying at Adelaide too but taking the wife to dinner in downtown paso first. Then the bottle share. I think she is more excited about the wine tasting email Adelaide sent out than the bottle share. Planning to bring a growler from institution in camarillo and assorted bottles. A time to shoot for would be great info.

 

Last year, I think it went from about 30 minutes after check-in friday, until we checked out sunday.

 

There are a few picnic tables in the middle of the complex across the parking lot from the pool area. The table tops fill quickly with beer and everyone stands around sampling the beers.

Just a tip, if you have a special bottle that you want to open yourself, keep it in your cooler/bag until you are ready to share. Once it hits the table top, it will be fair game and be passed around quickly.

There was no start time last year. People just started mingling around 5:00 pm. It lasted until 10:00 or so until the maintenance guys cut it off.

As expected, the noise level rises exponentially as more bottles are opened.

A lot of people went back to their rooms and continued the revelry.

Me and my wife are staying at the Adelaide. Looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing some awesome beer. We' re bringing some Feral One (in honor of our hosts), rum Eclipse, RU-55 and some other gems can't remember.
