Natty-Bo is no joke.

We are crawling in Baltimore and stop at a local dive bar. Natty-Bo's are $1 each so I buy enough to ply the locals since our group filled the place up and invaded the space (loudly at that).
Anyway we stay there a bit and I go to buy another Natty and the bartender says "oh you may want to stalk up happy hour is almost over." I wasn't sure if we'd be there much longer so I asked him what the price is after happy hour. "Oh they go up a bunch to $1.25." He was dead serious, I didn't want to insult him but shit I almost fell over laughing. I looked around saw some regulars still there that we hadn't completely annoyed out of the bar, thanked him and bought a round for the local guys. MAde sure I did a quick round thanking them for letting us hang at their place. We go back every year. Great place

 

True confession - sometimes I drink 10 Bohs during happy hours ... those days are few and far between now. Not because I only drink craft, but because Im old and married with kid(s). I love me some Natty Boh

Just got back from my shopping trip. Got myself some stuff, but also managed to get everything for my Target. Bought more than the max, so I need to do some figuring out of what is going out and what is going to be enjoyed by me. I got a couple of things from out of state so might leave those off.

 

Well my box is done but going to wait to see if I can get one more. Oh and rules were meant to be bent and broken right

 

No need to do that, you won't be the first one going over the max if you send it all.

 

Yep, that is the one! So good...I may go get a growler before my store runs out.

 

My wife and I enjoyed it this afternoon. It was still plenty carbed.

I think after my shopping trip this afternoon, I have finished up my box prep.

3 12oz cans
10 12oz bottles
4 22oz bottles
1 750ml bottle

2 sours
3 porters
7 stouts
3 barleywines
1 brown ale
1 mild ale
1 belgian strong ale

7 states, 15 brewers, 3 wants(I couldn't find the other 2, sorry), just about 269oz total

It's not packed, so I could still throw in that other bottle if my target asks...

 

7 states? That's quite a few for a "local" bif

 

Damn! Everyone is really killing it. My box is being delivered to work. I warned my fedex driver to bring the 18 wheeler and the heavy duty hand truck next week.

 

There are 5 states within 100 miles of my home. 4 within 50 miles.

Then there was a bonus from my recent NY haul, and 2 wants from a bit further.

 

fair enough! I stuck to only inside PA, plus 2 out-of-state wants (from the same state... hint #?)

 

Home Run!!! I want to know how good those Trillium beers are. I had Mettle at a tasting with a whole bunch of HF stuff, and thought the Trillium beer could hang with all the HF stuff (except the double Citra)

@mklisz we need to trade sometime for sure!

 

The trillium beers are exceptional. Drink them ASAP, Bill.

I spent the afternoon in the city. Picked up a mini growler of one of the above for my target. I hope you like hops more than I do! Now I have everything on my list and can finally get these boxes out the door.

 

Just got home to a big box on my front porch. Nice to see I guessed who my sender was. Most I am sure are on my wants overwhelmed with Minnesota love.
