Favorite Summer Beers?

    I'll second Caldera, another somewhat overlooked IPA. Dale's Pale Ale would fit the bill too, both would be a good choice for a gathering, picnic, or whatever where there may be a wide range of taste amongst different folks.

    We haven't really had summer in NJ yet. I have a case of Brooklyn Summer Ale (in cnas) for when I'm watering the lawn.
    I also am a big fan of Troegs Sunshine Pils and Victory Summer Love, Whirlwind and Prima Pils for the summer.

    Low alcohol, I would go for founders All Day IPA or North Peak Wanderer, for a higher alcohol option I would go for La Fin Du Monde, two hearted, or henepin, shorts anniversery also seems to be pretty tasty on a hot day.

    Narraganset Summer ale and Festina Peche. Pechish Woods would be if it weren't so damn expensive.

    I'll have to let you know on June 22nd, but I think All Day IPA by Founders may be a new summer favorite.

    SN Summerfest, 21st bitter american, Leinenkugel's sunset wheat ($5 a sixer), and deschutes red chair

    edit: how could i forget Telegraph Reserve wheat ale

    Just had Bell's Oberon while on vacation and was really impressed... just wish it was distributed to CT. Found it very crisp and refreshing.

    Nothing wrong with Summer Shandy. It is what it is, I usually throw a bottle in my mix a 6, tasty stuff.

    Definitely Gansett Summer, love the tall boys. Circus Boy is a decent hef, cant go wrong with any IPA (Smutty, Mayflower), Noble Pils goes good with summer flavors too.

    In the summer months I love citrus bodied IPA's and lighter wheat beers. My top four favorite summer beers are:
    1.Oberon
    2. Two hearted
    3. Gumballhead
    4. Huma-Lupa-Licious

    I really don't let weather dictate what I drink. It can only limit in terms of seasonal selections.
    That being said, right now I like Union Jack, Dead Guy Ale, and Gonzo Imperial Porter. Not too fond of summer seasonals
