I love creative new beers so I can't believe I'm saying this, but when did awesome beers start getting designed in the processed breakfast food section of the grocery store? Can I just get a beer please??

Well, that's kind of Funky Buddha's "thing" - culinary inspired beers that push the envelope a bit. They use fresh ingredients from what I've heard (not processed) and mostly all of them are delicious. I remember when I first tried No Crusts - their peanut butter & jelly brown ale - and it blew my mind that they could make a beer that tasted like a PB&J and they have impressed me with their other culinary beers. They still make some more traditional or normal beer styles if that's not your thing, but I encourage you to try their creative ones.

They make beers for all kinds of tastes. You don't have to like them all. There will be something to please you. After all, you can't drink them all in one day, so pick and choose. I know I do!
They do make some solid traditional beers also.

Apparently there was a front page article about the party. My buddy said his friends who couldn't tell a Stella apart from a Jai Alai are even going. It's going to be a doozy, hope they are learning how to handle large crowds better.

I might not even go to the lounge...just getting tired of these large crowds. The lounge keeps releasing beer later now for some stupid reason, back when they did 5pm releases it was awesome, you'd see the same 15 - 20 people and it was so relaxed and comfortable....There was always plenty left for the later crowd too. Ah well, at least I have the pig club this year.

Super jealous, and wishing I could have made it down, despite it sounding like it will be more raucous than MBCP release was. Those banana beers...my goodness, put those in the Culinary Collection for bottling later this year!

Pre Party at Boca was great, wish I could have had more! The Rum Raisin was a hit for me as was Pennybags.

Hitting the Oakland Park spot later in the day based on the release schedule

That barrel aged berliner last night was so on point.

Stopped by and cruised through, bailed. Wayyyyyy too much crowding. Hoping it does down a bit as the day wears on, and we'll try again later.

I had an awesome time yesterday. So many great beers by the Funky Buddha crew. The Uncle Vucub's imperial stout was great and so was the barrel aged quad. It was a little crowded and a little hot but we had a great time regardless.

Was very hot and crowded...timed releases (the coveted ones) were gone quick. You had to be in line already to get some of them. I was there from 4-ish to 7:15 and had French Toast, Snowed In (Imperial Last Snow - awesome!), Raspberry Berliner (mmm), Don't Tell Reese, CCB Peach White Oak, and left after waiting in a sweaty mob of people for a 3 oz pour of DB Huna. Was worth it to try that one though...

Had one hell of a time at Funky Buddha this weekend. Got there early and for the first 3-4 hours you could get a beer in a min or 2 literally(we tried ever beer on the list that you could try with in the first 4 hours )and after that it was only about a 20min wait at most. The Timed tapping's were awesome and made it run really smooth. The Snowed In and Vucubu were insane as well as the Raspberry Berliner! This was probably the best organized beer event I have ever been to. It did get pretty crowded but what do you expect and it didn't stop us from trying every beer on the list except for the last timed tapping's because we decided to leave and cool off in the pool at the hotel. Thanks for one hell of a time Funky Buddha!!! Until next time. Cheers!

Bad experience. Went to LaserWolf and back to the buddha lounge to salvage the day.

My friend texted me from the buddha lounge at about 4:30 and was drinking French Toast and Maple Bacon Coffee Porter with about 15 people in the entire place..

Hell the Lounge wasn't even crazy Friday. I chilled in the homebrew side and it was great, very relaxed and...well the rum raisin beer helped lol.
