It was Le Roar Grrz Kriek. Really solid.

It was listed as Le Roar Grrrz Druiven and it was for sure the Druiven. The kriek is bright red in color.

There were a few kegs of kriek(I believe 3) filled when it was originally bottled, but those have since been tapped in the Philly market. The Grrrz this weekend was definitely druiven.

A few things about the release on Saturday.

    1. The lot right next door to the pub does not belong to Bullfrog. It is normally ok to park there on weekends though. I would suggest not parking in any spots designated for the bank or bank personnel.

    2. The owners have never had an issue with opening/sharing a few bottles at the releases. In fact, they enjoy it...so feel free to bring some stuff if you'd like. However, opening things while in line/outside is not a good idea, as the police station is directly next door to the pub. I know I have said this before, but just want to reiterate so no one gets in trouble/has a bad time.

    3. Veritable Grrrz will be on tap for the release. It is the tap version of regular Grrrz. A few kegs made it to Philly beer week and the people seemed to really enjoy it. Gueuze on tap is always a good thing!

Thanks for the info. Realistically, what time do you think to be comfortable that you don't get shut out of bottles?

I really hope those thinking of going have learned from the past few bottle releases in the area. Give yourself time. Seeing the number of bottles available if I was going and traveling a distance (more than 50 miles) I would make sure I was in line by 8:30. Remember this is an 11am release not 12 like most others.

250 bottles 1 per, I'll be there at 11am and don't think I'll by crying afterwards...though it might be hard for me to get a table for lunch.

Of course I'll be in town visiting family for this... but can't make it! My sister is getting married so all kinds of wedding stuff lock me out of this. Bah! If anyone has extras, please please let me know! Maybe we can work something out.

Also quick question... I see Old Gold is on tap as of now. Do they do growler fills of that?

I'm gonna be by chance be close by but still an hour or 2 away. Just trying to get a little more info.

Does anyone know if the pub club members usually buy up all the releases the day before?
Or the limits quoted above are for the general release sat? Or is that all there is and you just have to hope there aren't to many pub members that come in on friday?

It usually depends on the beer and what day of the week the release is. With this one falling on a Friday/Saturday I think you may see a few more members come out for the private sale. As far as how many bottles, I would assume the totals they gave are what they actually have to sell and thats it. Either way there will still be plenty for the public sale. If you are there by the time they open you should not be leaving empty handed.

First set of glasses had an extra i. They have gotten a correclty spelled version in time for the release. The bottle/shirt/glass package will have both glass versions(for the first 100)
