Maine Beer Co. Dinner

Dinner is on tap at the Thirsty Pig right now.

 

Anyone else underwhelmed by this beer? I had it next to Lunch and found Lunch to be better.

 

I actually thought it was comparable to Double Sunshine. Light years beyond Lunch, but I've always been a Lunch detractor.

 

I agree 100%. I thought it was one of the best DIPAs I've ever had. Very, very, very, comparable to Double Sunshine in my opinion.

 

Thought I was the only one, so comparable to DS. I loved it

 

Agree with you completely it's very comparable to DS in my opinion and is much better than Lunch.....hell Another One is better than Lunch.

 

Completely forgot to stop by the MBC boot at ABCF to give this a try....kicking myself.

 

if it's any consolation, pretty sure they weren't pouring dinner at acbf.

 

yes they did, it wasnt on the list but look at untappd it was there. I don't drink hoppy beers so sacrificed my pour to the husband now he owes me. Sat afternoon they started pouring it at 2pm.

 

I guess I should've said I didn't think to stop and check then heard from others they were pouring it.

 

the only reason we knew was because I searched untappd on Friday night to see what was pouring that wasn't listed. Definitely worth doing if you arent at the first session.

 

Dinner has been tapped at When Pigs Fly in Kittery, they open at 11:30. One keg of Lunch also has been tapped.

Any news about another round being brewed? Would figure with the demand and then the accolades it has received, seems like a good beer for the brewery.

 

If they release again, I will be all over that.

This beer threw me for a loop- I like Another One a lot and Lunch a good amount, but wouldn't really stretch too far out of my way for either given my affinity for TH, Nebco and Toppling keeping those on the menu.

Dinner, on the other hand, blew me away. A truly astonishing beer, perhaps my new favorite DIPA.

 

Ditto. Not the biggest fan of Lunch in the world, but Dinner really did it for me.

 

Any way to know where this may be available to try? I am going to be in Maine next week and would drive if I knew I could get access to it via draught or bottle...

 

It's still on draft at the brewery, had a pour last Saturday. I would call beforehand to confirm it's still tapped though.

 

Are there growlers and/or bottles available at the brewery? If not, any idea when they'll be brewing another batch? Thanks.
