Hey guys! So I'm hoping to get some insight about good places to meet fellow craft beer lovers in Nashville! I'm going to grad school here, and having some trouble finding folks at school who are into checking out breweries, sampling beers, etc. Any advice on where to find the beer geeks? Thanks!
You should definitely join Girls Pint Out. The Nashville chapter has a Facebook and Twitter presence, and it's a great way to get out and meet other women who like craft beer. This month's activity is taking the Brew Bus to Huntsville, but we typically go to a brewery or bar.
Ah, I've heard of that before! Do you guys typically get a good turnout? I'll start following on social media to learn about future events!
@Seehearcait I'm going to send you a private message. There is a really strong beer scene here. A lot of it is advertised via Facebook. BA doesn't provide much coverage, so what I'm messaging you about will be your best bet. Cheers and welcome to Nashville!
Is it against BA's rules to post those here, or are you just looking for someone who knows the secret handshake?
I just moved to Nashville from FL and I'd love to get in on the inner sanctum and learn secret handshakes. I mean, how else will I figure out who to share all this hunahpu with...
Not against the rules, just keeping my info private. Also, don't think I can share a private group with people who aren't members. Will send you and @nopropulsion messages, too, to share the info. For that matter, anyone who is interested in joining the FB group, please send me a message and I'll help you out.
Boots is doing the right thing. This is a very good facebook group since it is local. There have been other attempts but next thing you know, you get hundreds of folks added and it goes from "local" to people from all over. Nothing wrong with that, but tends to become more about "check out what I got" and less about events and notification of local releases and stuff.
