But you have to start with Original Gravity and calculate with Final Gravity, something only the brewery knows -- and they aren't publishing (as I said in my original post), so, to my original query, how do the BA listings have ABV? Insider info?

I've been wondering the same thing I've never had it before but Dan arguably brews some of the best lagers in the US this is one I REALLY want to try.

You've never added a beer before?

You mean to BA? Yes, but I only add ABV when it's listed by the brewery; on the label or at their web site -- as I've said all along: NG does not list their beers' ABVs. Is this rocket science or is everyone skimming my posts?

No skimming, but added beers don't get proofread. I could add NG Scream and put it at 13% ABV. That's what will show on the beer listing....I think you may be looking too far into it. NG doesn't list their ABV and people are just guessing.

I wasn't "looking too far," only asking the question and wondering why. To quote myself,
I guess I don't understand why anyone would speculate at something that isn't arbitrary. Especially when you see such (supposed) precise ABVs as 4.8 or 6.25 -- it just strikes me as odd. If I'm adding a beer's info I'm not going to make something up just to fill a gap.

Just to add to my previous statements, here's the answer I got from NG back in 2012 when I asked about their ABV:

This is how I found the ABV of Strawberry Rhubarb when I added it to BA. He is a trustworthy source that has a excellent relationship with Dan. Dan is pretty open when talking about New Glarus beer. It is a bit more difficult to get much from Deb.

Bumping the thread to echo this question. The NG beer schedule at the web site is still stuck on May, hoped we'd see an update by now.

About to kick back and enjoy this one... The aroma is amazing... Big dank piney and citrus all over the place, bam.

It is four packs, that will probably be found for $8.99-9.99 or so, great deal from NG as usual.

I would bet the Madison liquor stores all have it... And the groceries stores too, but they won't process it until tomorrow.

I picked it up at Riley's, but I know Star Liquors has it too, and I am sure others as well.

So how does the flavor compare to last years since there was a recipe change?
