    Personally, I consider Palo Santo to be a stout more so that a brown. Way too much alcohol heat for a brown.

    Don't forget Duck Rabbit Brown Ale and the little known Williamsburg Alewerks Old Stitch ( it's classified as an EBA but I digress, it's awesome)

    I find these underwhelming. And Palo Santo Marron is 12%, for crying out loud. It's closer to brandy than to a brown ale. Restricting this to American isn't helping. I would've said Pretty Things St Botolph's Town, but that one explicitly mimics English styles. Let's see, I'll say Avery Ellie, Smuttynose Old Brown Dog, Maduro, and probably something from Surly that I haven't tried.
