Bad Trader - DaGrizz

    DaGrizz entered a competition BIF I was running late October. The competition concluded and winners picked their boxes on January 11th. Shipping Deadline was the end of January but due to weather concerns everyone was fine with waiting for it to warm up a bit.

    In late March I asked him what was the deal and he responded that his first box was opened by the shipping company, bottles were stolen and the growlers were returned to him. He also said "I am going to compensate him with bottles from the next release I am able to attend. I think that will be April 7th (whatever the Sunday is right around there)".

    Then I dropped the ball and forgot about the situation. On May 21st his target contacted me and stated that he still had not received any beer and that he had been told numerous times it would be going out that Friday but nothing.

    After multiple unreturned messages on BA I texted him and he responded on May 29 that he would be “Going to TH this weekend to grab him a growler like I specified in the original BIF thread”. The following week his target informed me that he got a text from DaGrizz that he was unable to get the growler and asked if he wants to wait or should he just send other assorted locals. The target told him to send the locals. Another week went by so last Friday I texted him again and threatened to create this thread. DaGrizz told me it would go out over the weekend and I agreed to wait until Monday.

    Now it’s Monday so here we are. I know life happens but this has gone on too long. Trade with caution.

    Is he crazy enough to make up all those profiles and create his own "good trader" thread? Haha

    Don't know. I am just sick of being told "This Friday it will be out" and then hearing nothing. Also with the "You will get the bottles from the next release" crap then he posted in the Tired Hands thread he is drinking the beer...... hmmmmmm.

    Oh, you're right -- tat2dhllblly put it on the front page with his post a couple of weeks ago. More than enough time to become a bad trader, I agree.

    Also let us not forget he got a free box from you because of a bad trader that bailed from the BIF.

    Well he earned that box, tertullian007 disappeared and I made it right because it was my BIF. Thats not on DaGrizz but I wont say that it doesnt make this a bit more frustrating.

    Anyway if I can get my shit together tonight I will have a box going out to you tomorrow. You deserve some damn beer

    I had three people agree to trades involving TH bottles only to bail when they said they got better offers and decided to go a different route. Unless you del regularly with people who hook you up with TH bottles, be wary and know that you might be wasting your time.

    Yep, I am have a feelong that is what happened here. I am thinking @DaGrizz didn't want to follow through with the BIF and use his bottles for trade instead and I am still thinking the original I sent them and some got stolen was a lie. Pretty damn low.

    Not sure how this guy can be added to the bad trader list being it was before it started, but maybe @F2brewers Can add this guy @DaGrizz so he cant screw anyone else over...

    Did you send them a formal trade request? You should in future that way you can leave feedback. People like this need to be outed in feedback.

    I don't even know what that means. I have probably 150 trades now on this site at least since I have 10+ trades with many of the people I have traded with. If there is such a thing now as a "formal trading request", I need to stop trading in general if that is what this has now come to. Thanks for the note though.

    No need to stop trading. It is part of the new feedback system that replaces the bad trader list.

    Exactly... @Beerisheaven , this has been around for months and is BA's "bad trader" list..I dont know why you would stop because there is a bad trader list...

    I agree. With doing beer trades and BIF's this is the first time I have had someone not follow through. I have had people back out of trades for different reasons but never one stiff me and lead me on for months like @DaGrizz has done to me @stevec32 .

    It's my understanding is that we're not manually adding traders to the "bad trader" section of the trade feedback section any longer.

    That said, seems that this BIF was initiated before the implementation of the feedback system.

    @Todd can we look at this?
