Need advice: opening a craft beer bar

    Or the best elements out of your favorite places and combine them. For example I went to a German beerhall that had a babysitter- may not work here and I wouldn't do it, but something to think about.

    I didn't mean that it was the ideal spot, just that it works out fine. A place that is a destination is generally preferable to one of convienence.

    Yeah, lined with dumpsters is not good. In fact, any dumpster isn't good.

    It varies from state to state, but in some there is a difference between a bar and a restaurant and under 21 cant be legally admitted to the former. To be a restaurant requires a certain percentage of sales to come from food.

    Most craft bars that I know of are 21+ only.
