Here's a fun and non controversial topic, unlike most of the few I start :stuck_out_tongue:

Have you, or anyone you know of, managed to review a beer in every possible serving type? I mean like xyz beer reviewed as can, bottle, growler, nitro can, tap, nitro tap, nitro bottle, cask.

What are the most different serving types of a beer you have reviewed, hadded, or tried? Or seen reviewed, etc. by other(s)? Or just know of?

Can anyone think of any beers that come in all 8?

    I haven't, but interesting concept.

Ever fight with a stripper over a half frozen breakfast burrito in the bathroom of a 7-11 after a night of drinking Hurricane High Gravity?

I haven't. Never happened, not sure why anyone would think such a thing. Nope..

I have had KBS and 2 hearted in a growler, tap, bottle, Nitro.

Kuhnhenns barrel aged 4th on tap, bottle, and poured directly from the bourbon barrel into a glass.

Nugget nectar - cask, bottle, tap,

Hmm must be others - I guess four is my max

I've had the same brew in cask, growler and bottle. The growler was filled from the cask anyway so had a little less condition.Bottled version, as always, was dumbed down.

I think for the most part the nitro can/bottle will limit this greatly

Exactly. I am not sure there is even a single beer that you could do all styles for. Prove me wrong BA...

Man with all the tickers on this site I thought for sure there would be 5 or 6 serving types tried for a certain beer, if not 7, or 8. Or at least someone would know of a beer with at least that many. No?

close, wasn't a 7-11 but it was called dairy mart, and it wasn't HHG, was some sort of BMC plus shots... but your post brings back fond memories.....

I don't if this counts but I've some variation of Guinness in 7 of 8 serving types.
I never had Guinness on cask.

Considering that Guinness (one version) and Left Hand (milk stout?) are the only nitro bottle beers (that I know of, if anyone else knows please post) I can't see how this is possible to have so many variations.
The only one I can think of is Arcadia Starboard Stout - draft (used to be not nitro), bottle (used to be bottled), growler, nitro draft, nitro growler, and cask. That's 6.

Guinness should be easy enough to find in all the types (except cask, of course).

Anything nitro is gonna be tough for most brews. Nitro bottle and nitro can is likely impossible. If I had to guess, I'd say my max is three formats, though I can't imagine what beer/s that would be.

almost nothing is available in all formats.

there is only one distinction: ok two: canned, bottled, on tap.

i like cask ale. i like a nitro. yeah it makes a difference. but was it Canned, Bottled, or On-Tap?

The only beer that could possibly fit all these different variants are often stouts. I've had a few coffee stouts in a variety of servings that go outside the norm i.e. a regular bottle, a special nitro bottle, etc. Interestingly enough, the nitro serving style for coffee stout usually deadens the "coffee" profile. Done a lot of research lately on coffee stout, check it out here http://www.divinebrew.com/ A non-coffee stout, Duck Rabbit Milk Stout can be found in bottles, nitro bottles, on tap, on nitro tap, in cask and of course growler servings. I haven't tried all of these formats (still searching for the nitro bottles) but that is 6 different options. I believe the nitro servings can benefit only a few beers, and ultimately deaden aromatics for many, IMO.

+1 for the first thread in a long time that I've never seen before.

And no, I haven't/can't/probably never will.

Milwaukee's Best. 12oz can. 24oz can. 12oz bottle, 1/4 keg, 1/2 keg. Day old plastic cup with ice cubes. 48oz funnel. Cigarette aged, dirty gym sick filtered into an 8oz coffee mug. That's eight.

You forgot about the 2-day old "can aged" soldier. Something about 48 hours of open sun exposure really transforms this beer. An altogether other worldly experience, I promise you. That's 9.
