I actually prefer the older location for events like this just because it's more convenient to the light rail. Anyone who has been in previous years knows that this is NOT an event you drive to/from.

Tickets purchased, looking forward to (hopefully) getting to try some fun Yeti variants.

Their instagram posted at least 9 beers, including vanilla bean yeti, berliner weisse, fireside yeti, H'wheat, Barbara, Red Comet, Cathy, Yeiser, and What the Helles up?

Sounds like a great lineup so far. Had Red Comet at Boulder Sour Fest last weekend and thought it was tasty stuff.

Hopefully Stupid Sexy Flanders makes a triumphant return.

I don't know what a Fireside Yeti is, but I'll be in that line as well as the Vanilla Bean Yeti. I think I might have to wear a many pocketed jacket so I can store bottles for future consumption

Not sure if it's the same beer but the Vanilla Bean Yeti from 2 years ago was also loaded with anise. It was unquestionably the worst beer I've had from Great Divide, ever.

Anise is tricky, it's easy to overload on it.
If nothing else I can fall back on the Yeti floats made with White Whale vanilla bean ice cream. Good for a hot day where there will undoubtedly be very little shade in the giant, open dirt parking lot. Hoping for lots of tents ...

That is dream crushing, really hope that isn't the case.

Not sure I'm familiar with most of those beers! But will try.

Well that was something else...as expected. I didn't ever actually run into the Vanilla Bean Yeti, but the other specialty beers were quite nice. The St. Bridget's Porter aged on raisins & Stranahan's barrels was surprisingly good and one of the best items there. Fireside Yeti was probably BA Espresso Yeti, although there might have been other ingredients involved. Yeiser, which is apparently Collette fermented with a sour brett, was also terrific. Red Comet seems to be the rebirth of Stupid Sexy Flanders although I couldn't get a consistent answer if it was the same beer.
Even with the rain (our group camped out under the Rumble/Comet tent) things were a total blast.

Red Comet was delicious. Unfortunately, I was dealing with a head cold and it was one of the few beers that I could fully taste. Vanilla Bean Yeti didn't have any anise, but it also didn't have much vanilla (confirmed by fiancee, who did not have a head cold and could taste everything)

That Yeiser was amazing I hope they keep that one coming.
