Dark Lord 2014/ Dark Matter snifter

if only. i shot dark matter an email, been busy all week, i forgot about this. we'll see what they say. kinda bummed about it. they look excellent and half the missing logo makes it a mute point as i have other small plain snifters.

has anyone dared to tossed these in a dishwasher? or am i crazy that any of us would think to even use these glasses?

 

They should make you whole. I'm guessing they have some spares or the ability to print more, since they anticipated some breaking in shipping (per their newsletter).

I'm guessing these are like any other glasses with cool stuff on the outside: hand wash is the safest way to clean them. If you dishwasher them, I'd do it top rack, gentle cycle (or whatever), with liquid soap instead of abrasive powder.

Edit: And, yes, I'm going to use these for glasses, not just trophy glasswhalez

I figured as much for the glassware and dishwasher, i don't even have one but was curious if other folks ventured in that. i recall someone dishwashing the KBS snifter (this years version, with the beige wrap) and that was a recipe for disaster.

as far as trophy glasses, i got a few temp ones. doubles of my favorites so when they break, back on the list.

hahaha, nah that wasn't the case.

though i'm curious, when i opened my box, the bubble wrap was stuck to the glass, was a hot day that day. i had to almost peel the bubble wrap off the glass. i took a look at the wrap and there wasn't any sign of residue from the glass.

 

Stuff happens. The heat/black bubble wrap may have done it. I had mine shipped to store, since I've been meaning to check it out anyhow and wanted to buy some beans. They actually had me check them there just to make sure everything looked good.

 

well that was easy. DMC replied to my email really fast, i replied to that email and then they replied even faster. Long story short, i'm dropping off the bad snifter for a good snifter at the mothership.

 

Awesome! Get some fresh-roasted beans while you're there. I got some that were roasted the day before, and the difference between them and beans that have sat for who knows how long is like the difference between fresh hoppy beers and hoppy beers from last year.

 

Did anyone score an extra blue '14 snifter? I missed them on Dark Matters website. 2014 was my first Dark Lord day ever and I sadly didn't get anything to commemorate the momentous event. I'm just hoping someone has an extra that can hook a brother up! At a price, of course.
