Sir, you nailed my thoughts in this post. These are my fav two..... Smuttynose Old Brown is nice as well.

I really liked New Glarus Fat Squirrel too.... (not a style I venture into too much... but a nice change of pace now and again.

 

They've never bottled it. It was main component of Firestone 11. Was on tap maybe at a handful of places.

I may be in the minority, but I actually love Brown Ales. One of my favorite styles...

 

DFH Indian Brown Ale and Palo Santo Maron seemed more like porters/stouts rather than brown ales to me.

 

I have had Wynonas Big Brown Ale, its a delcious beer. My other pics would be Brooklyn,Cigar City Maduro Brown, and DFH Indian Brown ale

What, no love for leine's fireside nut brown ale? Mmmm, artificial and cloying.

Moe's Bender and old brown dog would top my list.

 

I'm surprised no one mentioned DFH punkin ale. DFH is really killing it with the brown ales - Indian, palo santo, and punkin are all great in different ways.

 

Voodoo brewerys Wynonas Big brown Ale....Sweet Jesus, It's at the top of my list. And all the ones above are awesome.
