Wasn't too big on Duck Rabbit's barleywine, but it's definitely on the cheap end.

That's like saying a Ferrari is "really great" as a car. :grinning:

Lakefront Beer Line is rated 83 and pretty solid. Local shop has 4 pack for $10 so a great (cheap) option.

    J. W. Lees makes a great English barleywine they call Harvest Ale. They also have a number of barrel aged versions of it that are well worth trying.

Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Barleywine, it might just be might favorite regardless of size. Although I have never had King Henry.

Retired. It was decent enough though, I bought a 2011 four-pack on sale last year.

Flying Dog Horn Dog is very underrated, although it isn't as common as it used to be either.
It's one of the few barleyines from the states that captures the better English flavors and isn't overly expensive or barrel aged (which is a different style, IMO).

Dogfish Head Olde School, Weyerbacher Insanity, and the obvious Bourbon County Brand barleywine and Bigfoot. Also 21st Amendment lower De Boom was pretty good the one time I had it on tap, never had it canned (which actually isn't 12 oz, it's some strange can smaller than 12).

Have one in the cellar. Looking forward to opening it soon. Is it more English or American style?

Weyerbacher Insanity, one of my favorite barelywines in 12 oz bottles.

Not a barleywine, but readily accessible and in a 12oz format - North Coast Old Stock. Has that nice blend of hoppy, malty and boozy fresh and ages great.

Your local Our Finest Regards from Pretty Things is very good. 22 oz, though.
