Looks like my sunday is planned out for me. Below is some info about the release.

This upcoming Sunday we will be releasing HandFarm Batch 4. HandFarm is our house Saison fermented in local white wine barrels for six months. Bright, citrusy, and so so so dry... This is one of my most favorite Saisons.

Three bottles per person. $12 per 500ml bottle. 600 bottles are available. We open at noon. See you soon!

I am hoping to make it there! I was wondering were should I park if all the parking in front is taken?

I'm not a local, but I've found there to be local residential parking, metered street parking, lots, etc. Didn't seem bad to me when I drove there.

When you drive passed TH, there's a lot on the left-hand side where you can park past 6pm on weekdays and all day on weekend. There's a small blue sign just passed the Masonic Temple. Also, more street parking further down Ardmore Ave and on the dead end street to the right just passed the Post Office.

Damn. The relatively high (for TH) bottle count and reasonable per-person limit was going to get me out to this one, but alas, I will be out of town Sunday morning.

I realize this is probably a dumb question, but is there any chance that if I show up at ~12:30, there will be a chance at getting some? I don't think there has been a bottle release yet where there have been enough allotments for 200 people, has there?

I showed up at 11:30 for the So It Goes release, and by the time they opened at noon, there were only perhaps 6 more people behind me. They had enough that people starting jumping back in line and were able to get another allocation. Considering it took me about 30-40 minutes to get in the door to purchase my bottle, if you showed up at 12:30 to that release, you probably were able to get bottles. And I think that release had a smaller bottle count.

Tired Hands releases are always weird to me... I have gone to the last 2 around 11am, and only about 5-10 people come behind me and was about 100-150th in line. Yet, the people 10 or so ahead of me came around 10am.

Seems like most people get there super early (before 10am) and then only a handful of people come after that. I'll prolly still be there around 11am just in case, as they've been off on bottle counts before for Emptiness is Eternal.

Yep. It's the same 100-150 people out-earlying each other.

Now one thing I did notice was the so it goes release they gave the bottle count available for sale. Other releases where people got shut out they stated how many bottles were available total.

And unfortunately you can almost guarantee someone will be there at 6:00 am, perhaps earlier.

Did you forget the time we arrived at 11:00 and got shut out after being told we were in top 150 people. So there are guarantees at a TH release.

Well, I can say that from my point of view, this was an unabashed success. Drove past at around 11:30, and there only appeared to be 70-80 people in line, if that - everyone had chairs and it stretched back to the corner where the PO is, so the dispersed nature of it made it hard to ballpark. Did not look like a ton of people in any event, so I decided I would come back after I dropped my wife off at her baby shower in Conshy at 12:30.

Returned to TH at a little before 1. There were maybe a dozen people lined up at the door, and sales were still going strong. A guy a couple ahead of me was on his second trip through the line and was taking some good-natured ribbing for it because he had a box in his hands, although most of the people in line at the time were on their second trip through. A guy that came behind me was on his third trip through. Less than 10 people were behind me when I got up to the front - which credit to the TH crew happened VERY quickly, they really got people in and out efficiently. I got my 3 bottles and probably could have gone through again for 3 more, though they were getting pretty close to the end and I may have been shut out of a second allotment. If I'd thought to bring something to carry the bottles I may have tried, but I was happy to get my 3.

I don't know if it's because HandFarm is a recurring release, or because it's summer and people are away on vacation or what, but this was pretty lightly attended compared to what I've heard about some of the others. But if the moral of the story is that you are guaranteed at least one allotment of HandFarm if you show up before noon, that would be awesome. Especially since they ran through the whole line in well under an hour.

Totally agree. Between the nice weather, the larger than usual bottle count, and the good tap list, yesterday's release was my favorite so far @ TH.

This was my second HandFarm release and both were great. Best releases I have been to. Very smooth and there was minimal to no line cutting going on (my biggest release pet peeve). Got my allotment and I am very happy to have them as this beer is my favorite saison.

I was there as well and the line did wrap around the corner. The one guy taking a rough count said it was 165. I really think this was a success because the bottle count was accurate at 600. I can really get use to these types of releases.
