RAD would be perfect for making some Beer-mosas. For the ladies of course. Because real men don't.....aww hell, who am I kidding. I'd drink a few. :grinning:

So I would like to enter a request for next year - cans available all summer, and sixths (it is just a big can and who doesn't love big cans?)

How come I have yet to see this in southern Nassau county? I see it has made it to CT but not here yet? I've checked about half a dozen stores already. Really looking to try this beer.

I didn't like it at all, maybe it was the food I was eating it with, but it felt like i was drinking pure lemon juice- a very different sour than a lacto-sour

strange beer. I'm on the fence. Definitely not a crusher, as I found myself sipping it. i got tripped up on the grapefruit bitterness against the absence of hop bitterness. For some reason I wanted a cherry or berry facet to round the fruit profile out a bit. You get a hint of berliner underriding the tremendous citrus juice.

I could defintely see serving this on ice and possibly using it in a mashup.

Glad I tried it and glad I have 6 more to experience.

Thanks Shane for your giftbag. The reformulated Crisp is off the charts awesome

I would love for Sixpoint to use different juices each year/season. Some blackberry juice, apple juice, cranberry juice, grape juice, I think it would be fun to keep using the same base wheat beer with a different selection of juices.

Update, it was $8.99, and I didn't get the last one because I was able to get two more tonight.

I liked the flavor. I also tasted a heavy grapefruit component. A little orange sweetness, but I couldn't pick out any lemon(if there was any  )

The mouthfeel was thicker than I expected: more like drinking OJ than a beer.

    @Sixpoint
I recently tried the Mad Scientists: Sahti on tap. Whoa; what a shock! Very solid beer, but I'd never heard of it until then. (Also became an interesting point of beer research for me, as I was completely unaware of the style.)

Related: are you personally active on Untappd, or do you have another guy/gal who does that?

Anyway, after finishing off the first 4-pack of RAD, I had to pick up another two. The wife loves it, and I think it's very tasty, and I love the low ABV.

    Cheers!

Had one tonight. Lots of sour grapefruit and a tropical note, mango I think. I really enjoyed it. Look forward to finishing the four pack.

This is a really nice idea...we're going to get started on formulations for next year!

We thought the mouthfeel would enhance the body of the beer..... as you know at 3.2% you need a little bit of texture otherwise it tastes too "thin"

Yeah, the Sahti is a really interesting classical style. Read about it on our blog!

I am personally active on Untappd, and monitor that feed as well from time to time.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the RAD, we sold out, so whatever is on the shelves is all we have.

    how did you like it?

It was super refreshing this evening. Really hit the spot. I'm a huge grapefruit juice fan.

Finally got to try this....still havent seen it at my "sixpoint store" though they have all the other stuff including some fresh resin i picked up the other day....i was surprised to see this at a store where i cant recall having seen sixpoint beers before....i thought this may be too sweet for me but i am pleasantly surprised....im loving the grapefruitiness and the wheat beer base provides a faint memory of Apollo....wasnt expecting to but i think ill have to pick up another 4-pack before this dissappears

Really surprised by this brew. I typically drink IPAs and DIPAs and stay away from sessions and fruity stuff but this is a very good, refreshing beer that I crushed on accident and then on purpose.

Love the grapefruit presence and the idea to switch up the fruit juices with the base.

Thanks for the brews @Sixpoint , I'm going to buy more tomorrow!
