I get it, but I don't. As an anti-snob, I actually like the idea of cheap, crappy beer at sporting events. Craft beer and sports are for when I watch English Premier League in my home, not when i'm tailgating or "pounding down brewskis" at a big stadium. Just my opinion.

More options are always a good thing. "Cheap beer" is never cheap at sporting events anyhow, and there are plenty of sessionable craft brews out there.

I went down to Florida for spring training games this year, and the Orioles spring training ball park had tons of beers - probably 5 to 7 good craft beers on draft and 30+ in the bottle - everything from bud light to cigar city.

When I go to Phillies games I can get HopDevil and DFH, Sly Fox among others, I like not having to choke on a crappy Bud or Bud light, and the price is the same.

Yes it is, I guess they don't trust the vendors to charge different prices by brew so it's one price per cup no matter what you drink, it probably would be a nightmare to try. Besides the profit on the BMC stuff make up the difference.

$8 for a 12 oz bottle poured in a plastic cup is the "best" part?

Sounds pretty awesome to me. DFH or victory brews for the same price as BMC is a relative steal. I feel like BMC will push back so they have lower prices.

If you're going to pay $8 for beer at a ball park, wouldn't a craft beer instead of cheap swill be miles better?

They're not 12 oz cups, I believe they are 14-16 oz cups. But still Hop Devil for 8 bucks beats Bud light, and I only go to a game or two a year, and have 2 beers. no tailgating, no getting drunk in the parking lot.

Well, me too, but I haven't seen cheap, crappy beer at a baseball game in years. At AT&T park I can pay more than $9 for a Coors Light or I can walk down to the Public House and grab a Prima Pils or Racer 5 for $6, and bring it back to my seat. Personally, I don't think it makes much sense to pay 50% more for a beer I'm going to enjoy less, but that's just me.
