I have a friend traveling out west and was curious if either of the tornados had cable car in bottles recently? I know its onside consumption only. If so latest price? Thanks in advance

I think that's the normal price...The $250 one was that much just because it's an older vintage...Correct me if I'm wrong

$45 was probably the price for a new bottle circa 2012. I think 2011 (kriek) was $40 on release, but it might've been $45, things like that get fuzzy after long enough. For the sake of comparison, an '09 CC was $90 during CBC week in 2012.

Toronado SF keeps the prices far more reasonable, but it also seems to be far more random as to whether you even have a shot at getting a bottle on any given time.

I had 2009 CC at Toro SD in 2012 for 115. Totally worth it.

Went to the San Diego one last night, and they had 2008 bottles for $225 (in addition to a bunch of By Consecrations for $150).

Just so I don't look like too much of a fool when I'm out in SF trying to order it at Toronado later this summer... I imagine the most widely accepted pronunciation for Pliny is Plighnee (rhyming with tiny). Someone corrected me recently saying it was Plinny (like tinny). I know that's historically right, but it sounds stupid.
