What beer are you drinking now? #609

I'm supposed to be cutting grass, but my hip is killing me. So the wife & kids are at the city pool (they can have that scene, I just as soon swim in the lake here & take my chances with the occasional snake ). Instead World Cup & beer is in order!

Bayou Teche Courir de Mardi Gras (a biere de Mars ) & then a Deschutes Fresh Squeezed. Got to pull for Germany I guess, they are my fall back team if Team USA stumbles ( was born there )...

 

We don't get Uinta. This came from Wyoming and for around $20. $5 over-prced, but so worth it. About to drink the other half of it.

 

New Glarus Raspberry Tart

 

I saw them in NC the last time I was home...

 

I saw it in in NC too, when I was in Asheville, but since I had to get all the Wicked Weed bottles and others that we can't get here, I had to skip Labyrinth and the fact that I hate licorice, anise and fennel.

 

I mixed the rest of Uinta Labyrinth with the rest of World Wide Stout that I couldn't finish last night. Horrible beer btw. Pairing it with Dutch Extra Sharp Gouda "Rembrant" brand. Cheers!

 

SweetWater IPA.

 

Moved on to the Dark Horse Double Crooked Tree IPA (first time I have had it)! Holy cow! The label says that this is 12%....but I can't even fathom how that is possible! I have had 6-7% beers that taste like they have more alcohol than this! This is simply amazing!

 

Well we didn't go boating today because of the threat of thunderstorms, didn't go to the beach because my daughter didn't want to(I've never heard of a 5 yr old not wanting to go to the beach), so we filled up my daughter's little blow up pool on the back deck. Had time for a couple while out there, but now there's a thunderstorm just south of us that has sent us indoors. FYI, flies loved my Gose, I could hardly keep them away from it.

Taking a break from the Resin 4-pack to hang out with Sculpin's less boisterous little brother. He's a pretty cool guy if you give him a chance. Seems to have a staring problem tho... Oh well.
