On a totally separate note...I tried a very good Imperial Stout yesterday at a local fundraiser. Jolly Roger Imperial Stout by Otto's of State College PA. Very good chocolate undertones that opens up more as it warmed. At $9.99 a four pack this is one that has some promise and that I will be aging to see how it develops.

Now I am going to put my towel back over my head and hide....(is anyone old enough or nerdy enough to recognize my reference?)

That I know of, he didn't bring him here (I'm now imagining him following houser like a lost puppy) but he's the one that told him to not get lost... and so far, at least through the thread, no, he has not partaken of any BIF'ing nor given away any beer. Whether that disqualifies him from receiving free beer I suppose is up to the man sending it.

Hey @Mipper this is one of the things that lurking will teach you, but that probably no one said specifically. It is expected of the recipients of free beer that they return (a thank you box), and/or forward, the favor... "beer it forward" if you will. Some people do so the way @anticipation23 so generously just did, and others make it more complicated and/or tied to something else, such as @Indytruks138's recent "guess what Misfits songs my band has covered" LIF. So if you are not dq'd on this one, I'll look forward to the chance to get some Fat Head's or a Pizza Boy growler from you

Well I certainly stirred up a hornets best. It was not intentional. FWIW I already sent a PM prior to these posts saying that if this sort of thing is for regulars then I have no problem with that. I then asked some advice on shipping beers as I have not had the opportunity to do that yet. I messages a couple of people asking the same thing. I just heard back from one. Thank you very much for the help. I greatly appreciate it.

My mentioning of Jolly Roger was intentional and I had something like what was mentioned above in mind. I just need to learn some more about what is usually done so the recipient is happy. I also mentioned that in some of the PM's sent.

I believe in the principle of paying it forward in real life and this idea on BA is doubly good. If I jumped into the sandbox and upset anyone I sincerely apologize. I do like to kid around and there is a lot if good natured fun here but that is what makes this "group" so interesting. A bunch of people that can have fun and laugh at themselves.

So in Summary....(gets up on his soapbox) I am not looking for freebies (and yes I realize I did answer the post) but I do have and have had the intention of getting in on the BIF idea with a good bunch of guys. It is how I am in life with non beer issues. It's just that this old man wasn't sure of the rules...never did like rules for the games I played when I was younger and changed them so it was more fun. Hate me or be mad at me if you need to be I can certainly understand why you might. Just know that it was not intentional.
