Turns out this is going to be wrong.
130 sets were sold last night and there are already about 90 people in line right now.

I'm assuming that those 130 bottles sold were from the Pub Club members last night? Thanks for the info BKArmstrong, you saved me a trip up north.

So you really expect that many more people to show up in 90 minutes. It is supposed to rain people are going to leave.

Was probably over 100 people in front of me in line, I got there right around 10 AM. Maybe 125-140ish were there total when the doors opened.

I think everyone there got the full allotment if they wanted it, and I know a bunch people at the front of the line came right back out after purchasing and got in the back of the line to try to get another 3 bottles. I would guess at least a few of them got it as it looked like a decent amount of bottles were still left when I paid.

Pretty well run event, doors opened right on time and the line moved fairly quickly all things considered. Only waited about 45 minutes from the time the doors opened, which isn't bad for having 100+ in front of me.

Also, very cool of Bullfrog to open up a grrrz and a druiven grrrz for samples. The bottled grrrz, imo, was even better than the draft which was fantastic. So glad to see Bullfrog hit a huge home run with a great set of beer and a well run release.

Sold out in line. I believe everyone that went got a set, but there were no leftovers after the release.

A little late, just got back from a mini-vacation that started with this release, but I have to say this release was well run. According to our server Friday night, they did not sell 130 sets to Pub Club members, they limited it to 3 cases of each. There was enough beer for everyone in line. I was a bit nervous when I read there were 90 people in line at 9:00, but there was a big gap in arrivals after that. We got there around 9:30 (even though we stayed at a hotel 3 minutes away...) and the people directly in front of us in line said they got there right around 9:00. It was at least another 15 minutes until a person showed up in lie behind us.

When all was said and done, it was a well run release, the line moved along quickly and orderly and everyone who was in line at 11 got beer. It was great meeting some new people, I wish I had thought to get the names of the two ladies from Philly ahead of us and the guy who lived near Selin's Grove behind us...not even sure if they are BA members.

    What?

I honestly dont know if this is just a couple of typos on your part or grossly innacurate information your server gave you. 3 cases is only 36 bottles. You really think only 36 pub members bought beer on friday night? I can name at least a dozen people who bought beer and by no means do I even know a fraction of the people who are members who went and bought beer on friday.

Our server told us there was so many members buying beer on friday that they had to cut off new member sign-ups around 6. Granted you could become a pub member but you could not buy the bottles a day early (this time.) The fact that ~130 sets of beer were sold on friday night were words that came directly from the owner himself, not a server.

Im not here to argue or cause more hype/drama over some beers that already have a crazy name for themselves but your info is not accurate as you presented it here. With 130 or so sets being sold friday night, that left roughly 120 give or take for sale saturday. Several people (including employees) counted the number of people in line at 11 when the doors open and they came up with a count around 100 people. Assuming every person purchased their set of beer, that left about 20 more sets of 3 bottles and then extra grrrz and druiven that were sold to the folks who got back in line.

I agree with your other statements, it was well executed other than the slight lack of direction and confusion about buying glassware if you wanted that but not a shirt. And again, like releases of the past if you gambled/waited and showed up at opening time you still got beer.

As of yesterday, yes but they were moving. If you call them I think they will do a transaction over the phone.

"and the guy who lived near Selin's Grove behind us"
That guy would be me, as the screen name implies.

Was a nice release, a little more crowded than usual being on a Saturday for a change. Met some awesome peeps from past releases and a few new ones that I'm sure I'll see again.
Beer was really good and it was awesome of Steve and the Bullfrog to crack a few of the bottles at the bar for everyone to try. Think I'm gonna have to get there earlier for the next release, the word seems to be out. I'm just glad I'm only about 45 min. away. Wish it were closer.

So what is Bullfrog's plans for the future? Continue with sour bottle releases? Anything currently in the works?

Yeah, I believe the grrrz bottles are a look into how they're handling their sour program going forward.
