Cool little tasting room, we lucked out with only a few other people in there. Me and the GF already loved All Green and after tasting some of the others they have a huge potential! Best of luck to them!!!

Matt, one of the brewers, said that was one of the first things they did when creating the brewery, jump onto hop contracts.

They already have hops reserved out in 2018 because the demand is so high and you have to buy those futures early.

Question: I respect pretty much everyone's opinion on beer who has posted in this thread...

If you had a 34 minute window between trains and a 5-10 minute walk each way would you get a 32oz growler of Green Diamonds if you had a shot? Because...I do, and tonight's my only realistic option. And...this is after a long day's work. Is it that good?

Depends where you're getting the growler from. If it's Bierkraft - there's a chance you're going to have to wait a little bit for the growler.

Hoptron Brewtique out in Patchogue. I live nowhere near there, so making my train is extremely important to me. But...if what I've read throughout this thread is true, I...must...try...it.

Oh, well good luck. It's a really great beer, but it's not a one-off or anything - should be pretty easy to get as it's one of their semi-regular beers. Also, the brewers are hoping to can Green Diamonds eventually, which should make it way more accessible.

Yes, get your hands on it. A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush.

I work in the city but getting to Carroll Gardens is a real bitch. Also, with a wife, a kid and another on the way in about 6 weeks, I see this as a window of opportunity for me. I live on the Suffolk/Nassau border. Patchogue is not that close but it's reachable, and this is the only place I've seen it near me.

I've made up my mind, thanks for the input. @jrnyc you too. Good point.

Yes, it's that good as it's their best beer. All Green Everything isn't far behind.

    Whoa.
I only had a 4oz sample so far. Got a 32oz growler. Just plain old fashioned awesome. Haha, I don't know if finishing it tonight is an option.

4 ounce sample in addition to the growler or 4 ounces taken from growler?

In addition. I had 3 minutes to kill. I want to enjoy the half growler at my house.

But two in the bush is better than an unwanted child.

I'm heading there tomorrow. Anyone else planning on stopping by?

I might be swinging by for a sampler and a few growlers. Anyone know offhand if they take credit cards? Paid cash last time, can't remember if I saw a cc machine.

Quick trip for fills. Current line-up: IPA, Citra, Galaxy, All Green, Green Diamonds, Hup Hup Hup, and Imperial Stout. Imperial Stout will be sold in 375ml bottles some time in next few weeks. Tried a sample, very impressed.
