It wasn't on for very long at all, I wanna say it was on the board for less than an hour but my concept of time yesterday was all out of whack

Like I mentioned, I thought it was absolutely great! that they just released everything and did no certain time releases....That is the way it should be done imo!

About people getting back in line, it is what it is...They have really no way of taking care of the "locals"..They dont have a mug club or anything like that....I got lucky getting a 4 pack later in the day when they started allowing people to get back in line..That is fair imo, but im a little biased obviously

I never saw the "solar stout" the nice lady was yelling about. ISO.

H2 guy.... lol.... seen that dick at every release I've been to. He has a crew that maxes out allotments, now jumps in line multiple times, and I don't give a hoot about trading cred or ridiculous cellars. Guy acts like he owns the place, drives that penile implant around like a FIB, and gives humble service folk (who typically obey orders) a bad name.
    Whats the big deal?
The brewers set a rule of 1 4-pack. Isn't that enough?
Oh no, blame the brewery for letting it happen. Gimme a break.

People who show up for bottle releases only aren't "locals" but clowns as they describe them.

Blame the brewery? Sounds like a FIB move.

I swear I'm not upset at all about anything. I just re-read my post and it comes off as whiny... not my intention at all.

It was a great party! Sampled 4-5 different taps before I had to cut myself off. Fiance and I bought a house 3 miles away so I had to get back to do some work with her on it. Kuhnhenn is dangerously close to my new homestead!

Definitely a great party and very smooth release. Wish I could've made it Friday night.

So, did anybody try the Burning of Atlanta or what?!

Yes, I loved it. Probably one of the more polarizing brews there according to the people I was with. I thought it was very good and refreshing.

Man, this thread is still going on with this noise? The back and forth, the minutiae about a goddamn 4-pack of beer. The people that got in line multiple times *and* the people complaining about them should get it together. I hate the phrase, but in this case, I can't help but say "it's just beer".

I thought it was a good event. Better releases, for me at least, of the Summer Solstice parties that I have been too. Several people went back through the line, which, once the line goes down to nothing or Kuhnhenn give the thumbs up, who cares.

I liked Burning of Atlanta, not overly hot like some pepper beers, and several of the other releases. I was not, however, a fan of the blend. I think I will let those bottles sit for a year before I crack one open.

My one critique for Kuhnhenn: I was probably 125 ish in line, and while the line did move quickly after the doors opened, I suggest that you make the line form so that everyone is on the inside of the gated area. We made it to the front door by around 11:30, but for those 30 mins we were standing in line on the sidewalk without a beer in our hands. If the line had been ushered to the gated area, we could have stood there and had an extra beer in the time we waited for our allotment.

tl;dr: Try to get as much of the line on the inside of the venue as possible to allow us to drink in line and to sell more beer.

I overheard some people mentioning that on Saturday. I have been to the past 3/4 Solstice events and really haven't found it very hard to find a seat or felt as if the place was too packed. My guess, with Kuhnhenn, we won't know when the new place will open or where they will conduct a release until the day before the event...

I know this probably isn't a popular suggestion, but if they made the 4pk purchase cash only, that line would have cruised. I think the draw back for you standing outside so long was all the credit card purchases. I don't disagree with your suggestions...beer in line would be great. I just think that $30 cash is not too much to ask to move that line quickly. Winter Solstice would be a different monster. I wouldn't want to stand around with the likes of all you with a couple hundred dollars in my wallet.

I wish I would have went on Friday too. Saturday was so chill and awesome aside from the line back up right out of the gate but it really didn't last long at all. Awesome taps and atmosphere. Everything I tried was so unique and they had so many never-before options that they all stayed on tap with the exception of Solstice Stout which was still on from the night before!

Anyone reading this that hasn't been to an event at Kuhnhenn should ABSOLUTELY go, drink amazing beer brewed by amazing people who aren't afraid to experiment with flavors and have a kick ass time.

Does anybody have a picture of the Saturday taplist? I feel there were a couple I didn't sample.

Did they toss anything on firkin after the Mayan Coffee Stout?
