cans are coming... we'll have some great 'lower' alcohol hoppy offerings in them next year... we've been held up with our loan for the new facility for a little over 2 months now since our initial bank approval... we haven't been able to close because of some minor hurdles that we are working on every day... and then down payments will be made on canning line and new brewhouse!

we've already contracted hops for 6,000 barrels next year where we expect 4,000 barrels of that to be in cans. this year we'll do roughly 1,800 barrels in bombers and we're thinking bombers numbers will stay about the same for next year. so cans are definitely coming...

I hope so, along with a standard IPA (lowered abv NvU?) and Close Encounter would be my preferences. Also love the way Bell's has packaged their cans, hope @Pipeworks follows suit - and what better way to showcase the art of @paintbomb on the larger "canvas" of a cardboard box! Higher packaging expense I suppose but well worth it. And no can rings to suffocate any grouper...........which would be amazing canned as well.

    June 27, 2014 Update

    Galaxy Unicorn
The Unicorn, exhausted from constantly battling the crafty ninja, decided to take a vacation, somewhere he could have the space to clear his head. He suited up and galloped far and away into another galaxy where the hops are full of aromas like piney, juicy fruit that lands smooth on the palate. We don't want to be nebulous, it's pretty stellar.
    $10.99, 22 oz, 9.5% ABV

    Toasty Nut Abduction
This dark, rich, brew has gentle almond notes and a long coconut finish that lingers on the palate like a message written in the sand during low tide. It's a complex brew that we love to - OH MAN DID YOU JUST SEE THAT?! IT LOOKED LIKE A FLYING SAUCER! OH NO! IT IS! NOOO!!!! I CAN'T BE ABDUCTED BY ALIENS NOW! I HAVE SO MUCH TOASTY NUT TO DRINK! RUN! RUN FASTER THAN THAT!!! ONE MORE THING BEFORE I'M ABDUCTED INTO THIS SHIP! THERE'S 2MILLIONDOLLARSHIDDENINTHE - $10.99, 22oz, 10.5% ABV

    Pipeworks Ninja vs Unicorn
This batch of our double IPA brewed with over 5 pounds of hops per barrel is really tasting great. It's tasting zesty, herbaceous. As always, drink early drink often.
    $9.99, 22oz, 9% ABV

    On the Brewing Horizon:

NEW! Kwingston's Kitty Catina; A Meow-garita Inspired Beer - A margarita inspired pale ale
NEW! Dad's Best Boy - A Belgian golden ale with grassy hallertau blanc hops
Pipeworks Ninja vs Unicorn - Our hoppy DIPA

I've been staying away from bombers but I have to come back for that delicious Galaxy Unicorn. One of my favorite PW beers.

Also pretty excited to see what I can only imagine will be some fantastic artwork for that cat margarita beer.

Grabbed some Galaxy and TNA at Bottles & Cans this evening. Enjoying my first Galaxy now and man, that is a killer beer. Debating hanging on to my second bomber of it for my bachelor party in about three weeks.

Also debating when the right time to crack open the TNA is. Part of me wants to also bring that with for the bachelor party, but I'm also a terribly, terribly selfish guy who wants it all to myself.....

I'll believe this when I see it. Just remember these guys have been promising a brewpub/Taphouse/storefront for how long? Going on 3 years now.

I'm sure they would love to serve you, but....
It's actually going to be "easier" to build a whole new production facility then it would be for them to call a mulligan on the current facilities licensing, so that they can serve and sell where they are currently producing. With actual reality in place, I don't foresee them opening a taproom nor being able to do any kind of sales at their current location until they are able to take a break from producing there so that this revision of their current buildings licensing and insurance is something which won't cause a hiccup in production.
A brewery in expansion has a huge number of moving parts, and you stop the main one which brings the money in when there are other parts, and the future of the company demanding it. See ya Pipeworks.

    - we've never promised a brewpub or 'tap house'....

    - we signed a lease on the store front last year but the current tenant never vacated

    - the lease on the production space has been in place since february, architect is drawing plans currently, permits coming soon, and like i've said before we've already contracted the hops for next year's cans (over a quarter million dollars worth)... so yes we'll be canning...

it's a bit more difficult than just waving a magic wand...

Lagunitas 'taproom' in Chicago.... a company with gross sales in the hundreds of millions:

    - April 23rd 2012 - Tap room announced
    http://beerpulse.com/2012/04/lagunitas-aiming-to-open-taproom-ahead-of-chicago-brewerys-completion/

    - Fed 23rd 2013 - Tap room slated for opening in April 2013 pushed back to "maybe June"
    http://beerpulse.com/2013/02/lagunitas-brewings-chicago-taproom-may-be-delayed/

    - June 12th 2014 - Tap room not opening June 18th 2014
    http://beerpulse.com/2014/06/lagunitas-wont-open-chicago-taproom-on-june-18th-after-all/

eventually opened June 25th 2014.... over a year and half since it was supposed to (Nov 2012 was the first guess if I remember right).

we're trying our best but we don't have the same resources available to us as other VC backed business... remember that we're frustrated with it too but were working on it.
