I love Pumpkin beers...look forward to August and September...seems like they are coming out earlier and earlier each year but I won't complain about that.

I look forward to all of them because there's beers exclusive to each one that I love, and as a brewer, each season provides unique to style challenges and with each years new hop varietals becoming available; new ways to tweak and play with perceptions.

For me it used to be Autumn, but Sunshine Pils and to a lesser extent SN Summerfest have made me really appreciate a good Pils in Summer.

Pumpkin beers that are released before mid September are almost always made with the previous year's pumpkin crop, since that is about the time when the new crop is harvested. So as tasty as they are, it's not necessarily a good thing that they come earlier.

For me beer season runs from Jan 1st to Dec 31st , the beers change but the enjoyment stays the same.

    Loooove the Summer.
    But for beer...it's got to be stout...stout....stout. Fall/Winter. Anytime that BCBS/Founders IS/Backwoods Bastard/KBS is released it's my season.

SN Celebration comes out in the fall. By Dec. 21st, it's been around for almost two months, so I look at it as a fall brew.

I picked fall because of that, some good Oktoberfests, and football. Really, nothing can beat a great beer, a nice bowl of chili (or maybe some wings), and watching a good game on Sunday afternoon. I'm not religious, so that's as close to attending a worship service that I experience.

Summer comes a close second because if the weather, a wide variety of great pilseners (like The Wright Pils), and spending time at the beach.

I like the fall....it's sort of suited to all styles. You still can enjoy IPA and Pilsner but its cool enough that Imperial Stout is fitting as well, plus wet hop/harvest ales are a favorite of mine.

May because I can find cask mild all over the place during this month , many breweries only produce it for the Mild in May campaign.

    1. Winter - I like big beers such as Stouts and Belgian Dark Ales on a cool/cold night
    2. Summer - variety of styles are appropriate in the heat of the summer: Saisons, Hefeweissens, Pilseners, Helles lagers, Belgian pale ales and Tripels hit the spot
    3. Fall - Marzens, Dopplebocks and Porters are in order
    4. Spring - not too many 'spring' styles excite me other than Bocks/Maibocks

Starting around September until March is the best beer season. After the overflow of poor Oktoberfest styles and just before the mediocrity that is most spring/ summer styles.

During this time the recently harvested hops are so fresh hop/ wet hopped ales are on point.

I'll take fall. We don't get fall weather until October/November anyway so by then the stouts are starting to come out. I do love some pumpkin beer though, plus football and fire with the friends. Can't beat it.

I know I'm in the minority, but I actually really like the spring seasonals. I find many of them to fairly unique and they tend be refreshing and lower ABV so I can drink more of them.
