NG Berliner Weiss pulled from shelves

This beer is damn near perfect for the style. It filled up my Weissbier glass perfectly with a slow, careful pour.

 

On the plus side, it makes room for the alleged July release. If true, its going to be huge.

 

Was able to grab a 4-pack today at Pick n save. I left a couple on the shelf, think there were 4-5 total...

 

Casanova's, in Hudson, has a bunch as of yesterday.

 

Still a bunch today. Cases 6 feet high in fact. Distributor hasn't told them to pull it.

 

Was bagging up all my 4 packs and singles and noticed some irregularities. Some of the bottles seem to have poorly welded seams.

 

GF cracked one open yesterday aftenroon. Tastes the same as the two other four packs i've had from the case. still the same amount of carbonation which is extreme and one of the highest i've ever seen.

also, it seems to still be out there on small town shelves at least. check around. i stumbled across some this weekend in a totally unexpected spot. might take time for the smaller spots to get word/have it "pulled".

 

Well at least the thread was something original. Usually, BAs start panics over a beer being infected. An official beer panic thread is needed for the crackpot theories on what may be wrong with said beers.

 

you see, the Berliner IS infected that's what's causing the over-carbonation issues and literally all 6 out of (tens of?) thousands of bottles to explode. you can understand that a 0.00006% damage rate means there's a problem of epic proportion at hand here.

 

And clearly the infection was caused by BW having unprotected sex with a macro.

 

the dominoes that are toppling here are just breathtaking. first the Berliner, next step our precious bodily fluids.

 

I have concerns that some of the crackpot theorists here on BA are reading our exchange and are taking it seriously. Good for them.

The case of Berliner I brought back to CO is fine...all despite being transported via a checked bag a two weeks ago...zero issues (despite requisite baggage handler tossing). There was quite a bit still at the Piggly Wiggly in Mequon.

I drank a whole case. Sure, they were really carbonated, but damn was that shit good. I'll happily take any Berliners off of people's hands.

 

Does anyone know of places in or near Milwaukee that still have this for sale?

 

Surprisingly, Discount still had it on the shelves today.
