I come from the pre-Myspace/Facebook school of internet-dwelling that advocates minimizing the presence of one's real life details on the web. Because of that, I took on a pseudonym that I'm kind of attached to now, and the anthropomorphic deer is the representation of said pseudonym.

Long story short: HUR HUR I'M A DURR

My avatar is a picture from the most thrilling game in NFL Playoff History (I may, or may not be biased): Ravens v. Broncos Jan, 2013.

Mine is from one of the most memorable pints I've ever enjoyed. My wife and I went on a monster road trip back in 2008 attempting to drive from New York City to Alaska. In four days we had made it all the way from Staten Island to northern British Columbia. On the fourth day, we left our hotel in Dawson Creek, BC and got onto the Alaska Highway for the most arduous stretch of an already enervating journey. After nearly 250 miles of driving and hours of not passing a single person, power line, or cell phone tower, all the while staring at ever-darkening skies ahead of us, I crested a hill only to find that a mudslide had wiped out the roadway below. I managed to keep the car from flipping over and skidding off of the road...but it definitely had me rethinking that particular leg of our trip.

After driving a few more miles, I stopped in the middle of the road and my wife and I discussed the option of turning back. I hated the idea of not making it all the way to Alaska but at the same time we had so much more left to do back in the continental U.S. that it really wouldn't be that much of a disappointment. Staring at the threatening pulse of black clouds above us and thinking back to the guy at the gas station a few hours earlier who said bad weather was moving in for the next three days, we decided then and there to turn back.

Within five minutes, the skies grew clear and incredibly blue. The tension that had filled the small car for the past few hours was suddenly lifted and for the first time in days we were enjoying the trip. The first thing we did when we got back into town was to go to Mr. Mike's Steakhouse where we copped ourselves a pitcher of Antler Ale. We poured ourselves a pint apiece and cheered our decision as well as being back in civilization. That right there is relief in a pint glass!

My avatar is plain and simple. Some of the more "rare" beers that I have in my possession as of now.

I've always been a big PRIMUS fan so TWEEKERS " Those damn blue collared tweekers" has been my handle since the days of AOL. 237 because I'm a fan of "The Shining" movie.

My avatar was just set up because I was listening to a lot of Steely Dan at the time. I was actually thinking of changing it.

Hilarious and brilliant - did one of you draw the artwork? I'd like to see more of the artists work.
