I made the mistake of serving it cool like an ale,
when I chilled it to damn right cold (The Point Cascade Pale also) it was actually quite palatable

Starting my Morrison's beer investigation with the American Red Ale~
though British Ba Superhero (The Incredible) Black Haddock actually reviewed this last year
though possibly before the prefix 'Signature'
The taste is a fairly decent pint of bitter affair
there are lurking on the edges of the tongue that candy sweetness but it's swept away by a bitter finish thats enjoyable just not right for the style of beer, It's more H.M.S. Pinafore Bitter than Titanic American Red Ale.

I had it closer to ale temp and it was OK. I personally find the various Point brews to be alright for what they are - not world-beating but perfectly drinkable and better than some.....

That said, I'm now on a Punk IPA that was bottled on June 4th. Oh yeah

The Point IPA is a fairly good example of the style
but yes, Fresh Punk IPA is a wonder to sup
& Brewdog really grinds my gears

    I know it's a school night
but there are 13 beers to try for the first time
better make it an even dozen
    Morrisons Signature Dark Ale
now just from the name I was expecting stout
the label is some waffle about being a rival to red wine (chianti is mentioned, a favourite of mine)
and it isn't much darker than many bitters

but the taste, the taste is only like a bitter with a very, very slight red wine element to the flavour
    more the MF

Are those Sixpoints cans in 'spoons worth checking out?

I was pleasantly surprised by the Tetley Gold. Not a patch on the Lagunitas though

    A) considering its called gold and
    B) It's not proper Tetley, (brewed in the now storage only leeds site)
It was just slightly better than average, which considering I was expecting something that tasted like
Carling was much better than expected>

Well The Lagunitas looks quality, I am tempted but never ordered such a large amount of the same beer before.

I bobbed into the Port Street bar to check out the American beer festival whilst. The better half saw a friend at 'Spoons (who bought me all three Sixpoint cans on a carry out, for being such a damn nice guy.

I couldn't resist the lure ofThornbridge on cask, Brother Rabbit is fantastic, despite the Americans but had half of Evil Twin's Heretic and was glad I did.

I definitely need to see if my 'spoons does that. I could do with a few of them in the fridge. I tried to speak to the Sixpoint guys in a thread asking if they were gonna bring any other types to 'spoons or if they were going to distro to the UK and got no reply. It was a shame.
