I went last summer bunch of wacky wheat beers expect standing room only

 

I plan on heading there.

PRAYING for more....well.....you all know what I am ISO by now

 

haha you and I both buddy. I remember they had something really special bottled in years past but atm I can't remember exactly what. Maybe their DRIPA in bottles for sale? I dunno.... but I do believe they will have something up their sleeve for us. If I'm in town, I'll be trying to make it for sure.

 

Summer Solstice parties have never had anything that good in bottles (in comparison to the winter solstice). Most of the wheat beers are solid, it is just a good hang out time. Nothing too crazy but a pretty good time.

The Michigan beer guide has some info in their add, basically says they're selling limited bottles and having some wheat beer on tap.

Damn Kuhnhenn solstice parties, always in the middle of the week and always on my busiest days!

 

I want them to do bottles of the creme brulee java stout.

 

If they do I will buy the shit out of it.

Considering going up for this. Does anyone have any information on the timing and format of how this normally runs? Also, what's the normal deal on bottle sales the day of?

 

I went once 4-5 years ago. It was all different flavored wheat beers, no bottles for sale and overall mellow. Good time, much better than the clusterfark that is Winter Solstice. But much has changed in three years, so this may be a packed house now as well.

They had bottles of Creme Brulee at the 2010 Summer Solstice. You can't really hang on to them very long, it seems like every time they've bottled this one something goes awry and it ends up infected after a few months. At least that's been my experience with it. Your mileage may very.

 

The last couple years they've had some bottles for sale, nothing mind blowing though. In 2010 I got there right when they were opening and I was able to get a seat and relax without a problem. In 2011 I just dropped in and picked up a couple bottles and left but it still didn't seem to be close to the shit storm of the Winter Solstice. I chock it up to them having basically second tier beer for sale in bottles.

 

I'll be there. Went last year, tried all the wheat beers, grabbed a few bottles and headed out. Hoping to have a little more time to hang out this year.
